the two girls chatted as they walked towards english class. even though it was a bit early they could save themselves a seat in the back of the classroom.

at the bottom of the stairs sat lynns teammates. they were dressed almost just like her, in red with ponytails and their last name and number on the back of their shirts.

vanessa looked over at them seeing a ginger girl raising her eyebrows smiling at lynn, who responed by throwing the ball she held at her. margo faked being offended turning to the girls sitting beside her. the two other girls just kept walking up the stairs, ignoring the athletes friends.

lynns couldnt keep herself from wondering why margo was acting like this way. she was acting like lynn had dropped the fact that she had the biggest crush ever on vanessa, something she obviously didnt.

"they would look so good together" inez sighed once lynn and vanessa was out of sight. "thats what im saying" margo lifted her hands up to her head. "does lynn even like girls?" a brunette with the number 10 on her back questioned. "im not even sure she knows what being in love means" inez laughed back.

"what about vanessa? does she like girls?"

"i dont know"

"i didnt even know they talked" everyone spoke at the same time, the fact that lynn had other friends clearly being a hot topic.

vanessas eyes scanned the room for empty seats that lynn already had seemed to have seen as she just kept walking towards the back. lynn turned around noticing the girl was a few feet behind.

she took the time to look at the way the girls hair fell perfectly and how she moved so gracefully. she coughed to stop herself from staring and dropped down on the closest chair.

vanessa however took notice of the athlete staring and had to stop herself from smiling. it was an odd feeling she had tried to deny.

she couldnt have feelings for lynn. she didnt even know her. it was wrong and wierd. everytime she managed to convince herself it would pass, she would look at her and she had to do it all over again.

the way she didnt care what others thought about her or the way she looked so perfect not even trying. it made her want to rip her hair out and scream into her pillow. she absolutely hated feeling controlled by someone.

at the same time, it made her kick her feet after seeing lynns name pop up on her screen. it made her want to skip down the street on her way home. was that what having a crush felt like? did she have a crush on lynn loud?

"alright class, today we will just be continuing on our project. its due on friday and anything that doesnt get done today needs to be done at home" the teacher interrupted vanessas thoughts.

"if your down we can do it at my house, i have practise first but we could do it after" lynn requested, once again feeling her heartbeat quicken waiting for a response.

vanessa was caught off guard expecting them to split the work and do the rest alone. "yeah, totally" she tried not sounding to exited, but in reality just the thought of lynn not minding spending time with her made the butterflies in her stomach go wild.

vanessa looked over lynns shoulder spotting mia and augustine. she couldnt help but feel stupid as they burst out laughing after meeting her eyes. she knew mia wasnt her biggest fan, but she really looked at augustine as one of her closest friends, so her turning around every once in a while, clearly trying to hold back laughter made a pit form in her stomach.
