lynn tapped her finger against her thigh, impatiently waiting for a response from the guy she texted. it took about 15 minutes before her phone buzzed.

immediately she flipped it over to read what it said.

hey its lynn

just wondered if u wanted to hang out sometime

ben

is tonight to soon?

lynn

no thats fine

park at 6?

ben

ill be there

the time on her phone read 4:12. she sighed flipping her phone again before buring her face in her pillow.

she didnt bother changing and left the house at 5:40 wearing her signature jersey with some red shorts. as she walked down the street her mind flashed back to when she and nessa were  walking down the exact same path, laughing whilst eating the ice creams theyd baught a few days prior.

lynn remebered exactly how her heart was racing as nessa was talking about how the color green reminded her of the summer she turned 3, and thats why it was her favourite. 

ben sat on his phone and looked up to see lynn walking towards him. he sent her a smile which she returned. "hey" she didnt reply and just sat down next to him fiddeling with her fingers.

"so how was ur game?" he scanned her face waiting for an answer. "we won. yours?"  she met his eyes. "meh it was fine. we lost but im sure the other team cheated" lynn laughed at him. "or maybe you just suck"

they talked for a while untill lynn got a message from lori telling her she needed to be back home. "i have to go" she tried exusing herself but he stopped her from walking away by grabbing her wrist. "wait, i need to tell you something"

lynn gave him a confused look waiting for him to elaborate. he chuckled nervously before speaking up. "so i know we just started talking, but ive liked you for quite a while actually" lynn looked at her shoes so he wouldnt see the way her eyes widened. "you dont have to say anything, i just wanted to tell you" he assured trying to meet her gaze again. 

lynn panicked, the silence only stressing her more causing her to say the first thing that came to mind. "i like you to" she bit the inside of her cheek looking back up at him, who already was smiling down at her. 

"well i have to go" she forced a smile before speedwalking away from him. she wanted to punch herself in the face. why was she so akward when it came to feelings? she knew for a fact that she didnt like him but maybe this was how she got over her stupid feelings for nessa. 

the next day at school she tried avoiding vanessa as much as possible. nessa looked disapointed as well as confused when she sat down beside ben instead of her in english class. she recognized him and saw that he was the guy she was talking to at the party. she knew she shouldnt be surprised lynn chose him over her, she had much more in common with him than she did with nessa anyway, they were both athletes while nessa knew nothing about sports. but she told shed see her at school the day before, and so far she hadnt even returned one of the smiles nessa sent her.

the boy and girl athletes often spoke together so one really questioned why lynn was talking to ben. he had sat down by lynns table along with some of his teammates, but lynns friends assumed it was because they had a game yesterday aswell. that was untill he put an arm around her shoulder, causing margos eyes to widen. "o m g" she mouthed towards lynn who gave her a face trying to get the redhead to shut up.

vanessa sat watching a few tables away, lost in thought wondering why lynn was avoiding her. was it something she did or did she said anything wrong? she saw the guy she chose to over her in english class sit down beside her. her heart dropped to her stomach when he put an arm around her. eva, who was sitting beside her noticed she had zoned out and looked over to see what nessa just saw. "ness, im so sorry" she took her hand in hers, trying to meey her eyes but nessa stood up and ran into the bathroom.

eva decided on not following her with her, knowing she probably wanted to be alone. mia turned her head away from the conversation she was having with stella and her boyfriend. "why was she so upset" obviously not actually caring about the answer. it was silent for a moment before augustine spoke. "oh no, i think her girlfriend dumped her" she said in a fake caring tone after noticing bens arm around lynn. "why are you so rude to her? she hasnt done anything" eva finally asked but getting no response.

nessa shut the door and walked over to the sink, supporting her weight on it. in the mirror she could see her red and blank eyes, ready to spill any second. she exhaled shakily trying to stop herself from breaking down.

she remembered what luna had said the day before. "what do you want it to mean?" was she just messing with her? did luna tell her? why would she even say that if lynn had a boyfriend or whatever that guy was? were they even together? was that why she was ignoring her? because if she dint want to hang out with her anymore she couldve just said so.

all the thoughts spinning in her head made her forget about holding back the tears, that now were free falling down her cheeks. she really didnt want to care this much, but what luna said had gotten her hopes up, making her think there actually was a chance lynn actually could like her back. 

she had always sworn lips were made for lying and that eyes were made to cry, but lynn made her think that maybe they were good for something else aswell. she realized now how stupid she was for even thinking that in the first place. 

she stayed in the bathroom for a few more minutes before she wiped her tears with the back of her hand and cheked if her marcara looked ok. she walked back out only to see no other than lynn loud standing with the blondes arm around her talking to nessas friends. for a minute she debated on walking back into the bathroom, but instead she went back to her table. 

as soon as she sat down, her eyes moved to the athlete standing beside lynn. none of them looked her direction, to focused on the converstaion they were having with mias boyfriend. then it hit her why he looked so familiar. he was often talking to mias boyfriend about their soccer games and practise. he was a dirtbag just like every other guy on the soccerteam. 

lynn felt eyes burn a hole in the side of her head as she stood listening to the guys talk about an upcoming game. she ignored it even tho her whole body was aching to turn around. she hated herself for ignoring vanessa, but if she didnt spend time with her maybe she could move on from her stupid girl crush.

i hate the first part but i think the secoond half is decent

im already working on the next chapter and will be posting it later today.
