after 10 more falls on their way back to take off the skates and another 10 minutes to actually get them off, they were finally on their way back to nessas house.

"my legs hurt" nessa complained, holding onto lynns arm. "thats probably because you fell over more than you actually stood on your feet" lynn laughed at her. right after she said that she noticed the dust patch on her back, causing her to laugh even harder.

"this is bullying" she pouted, acting offended. "sorry, sorry" the athlete helped her get it off and kept her arm around her shoulder afterwards, something that made nessas stomach flutter.

they stopped by lynns house so she could get her stuff and nessa ended up playing with her younger sisters in the meantime.

lana was showing her pet frog riding a small car that lisa had made for him, whilst she was giving a full tutorial on how she made it.

"-and then i figured that the red wire was loose and when i tightened it, it worked!" lisa said enthusiastically.

honestly, nessa felt happy seeing how different all of the loud sisters were, but still how passionate and supportive they were to each other about what they cared about. she really envied lynn for having so many siblings while she had none.

"thats really cool lisa, but if im completly honest, i have no idea what half of those words mean" nessa chuckled. not a second later she jumped about 3 feet in the air after someone unexpectedly came up behind her. she was sure her heart stopped for a good 5 seconds.

"do you want to come down to the basement and meet the morticians club?" lucy asked as nessa put a hand over her heart to be sure it was still beating.

"i think shes good" lynn said coming down the stairs with a bag over her shoulder. "uhm, maybe another time lucy" she nodded politly, trying not to sound as scared as she felt. "sigh"

"i love your sisters" nessa bluntly said. "i think they like you too, even lucy" lynn laughed, saying the last part like it was a rare occasion. well it kinda was. "really?"

"im sure. there are very few people lucy actually likes, so her inviting you into the basement is basically her way of saying she likes you, or at least doesnt mind your presence" lynn stated, making her calm down. "so you dont think shes going to sacrafice me to whatever demons shes talking to because i said no?" she furrowed her brows.

she was fully aware that lucy was a 10 year old, but she still seemed like the type of person to summon bloody mary for fun at a sleepover.

she had also taken the time to learn all their names. she already knew luna and had seen lori pick up lynn after practise a few times. leni she learned was the one that had to stop and think about what her name was if you asked her. luan was the one with the creepy doll that told dad jokes and lincoln was fairly easy to remember as he was the only boy. lucy being the one you had to expect see standing around every corner, also lynns roommate. if it wasnt for lola and lana being complete opposites, she wouldnt have been able to tell them apart, and lisa was the little girl with the big glasses and probably better grades than her. then of course there was lily who didnt do much other than look cute.

"you sound insane" lynn said, opening the door into nessas house and they both went up to her bedroom so lynn could put down her bag.

"you need to clean that" the athlete pointed at the girls knees. nessa nodded along. "yeah, yeah"
