vanessas eyes were set on the clock that hung on the wall above the teachers head. she usually cared about her schoolwork but today all her thoughts mixed together and nothing made sense.

the more she stared at the clock, the more it felt like it wasnt moving at all. after what felt like forever the sound of the schoolbells were finally heard. vanessa packed up her stuff and rushed outside to look for her friends that had different classes.

it wasnt very surpising when she spotted them at their usual table in the right corner of the cafeteria. vanessa walked towars the group of 14 people sitting by the table. "nessa!!" a fake blonde smiled as she ran up to her. "eva!" she returned.

even though there was 14 people in the friendgroup, nessa only really talked to a few of them. one being eva, and then there was augustine and carla.

they sat back down as about 4 conversations were rolling at the same time. nessas eyes were gatting heavy again. "ness? are you listening?" augustine interrupted her thoughts. "ehmm sure" nessa replied with an innocent smile on her face. "sure" augustine rolled her eyes sarcastically. "but did you see aron today? he was mad fine" she continued.

ahh of course. the boy talk. again. it was the same every day. aron this, michael that. vanessa just nodded along every time.

every guy her friends seemed to find attractive gave her the ick. whether it was the hair, style or personality, nobody looked as good as her friends claimed. sure shes had a crush on someone before, but it never lasted long.

a few tables away sat lynn with her friends margo and inez. unlike vanessa, lynn had never like liked anyone. atleast not enough to really want them.

she pushed her food around her tray, not feeling like eating the school food."but did you see what he was wearing?" "right?!" someone laughed causing lynn to turn around to see the large group of people. "theres no way all those people actuallt like each other" inez said taking a bite of her food.

both lynn and margo tured their heads back to the girl on the other side of the table. the redhead next to lynn gave a small smirk. lynn just shook her head.

once the schoolbell rang lynn said goodbye to her friends and made her way to english class. she sighed as she opened the door and looked around for an empty seat.

she noticed papers lying on every desk and picked up one to read it. "PARTY AT 9 THIS SATURDAY" lynn eyed it putting it back and made her way to the back of the classroom.

she picked up an identical poster that was laid on every desk and read it over and over before someone interruped her thoughts. "you going?" the girl beside her offered a small smile. "meh i dont know, not really my thing" lynn replied not looking up from the paper.

it wasnt a lie, shed much rather stay home and watch a game or practise than spend her night with people making out everywhere and throwing up cause they drank to much.

once she looked up she noticed the girl still looking at her. suddenly she felt nervous. did she have something on her face? was that a wierd answer? "im vanessa" the girl smiled. "lynn" she snapped out of her trance.

the teacher walked in and started talking about a project. of course with vanessas luck, they had to work in groups of 2. she looked over at her only close friend in this class, augustine, hoping for her to already be looking at nessa.

her hope died once she saw mia, the popular girl from their friendgroup standing by augustines desk. mia was the girl everyone was jealous of, she had long blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, straight teeth and was dating the hot guy on the soccer team.
