Alana walked into school with Miguel, Sam, Tory, and Robby. "All right, so do y'all think there's any chance that we don't make it into the top seven?" Miguel asked as he held Alana's hand. Her being in the middle of him and Sam. Tory and Robby walking behind them.
"maybe when hell freezes over." Tory said, causing Alana to laugh. "let's hope there's not a tournament category for humility." Sam says as they walk, "oh, come on. we got two all valley camps and two runner ups." Robby said, "don't forget lana." Tory said as Alana laughed, "Yay, i get my own category." She added as everyone laughed with her.
"well when you get mad, everyone fears you." Sam said as they nodded, "please, don't make my ego explode." Alana laughed with her friends.

Later at training there was another person at the backyard. Mike Barnes. Obviously Alana knew Mike, she grew up with Daniel. Today was the students doing various activities to see who can go to Barcelona.
Alana didn't want to admit it, but she was kinda nervous. I mean, she knew she had to place somehow. She wasn't a runner up, a champion, but she was one of the best fighters. She just hoped that she'd win with her friends and family. She hoped for there to be more surprises along the way for her.
"Please welcome our guest for the weekend, Sensei Barnes. In order to keep things unbiased, we brought in Sensei Barnes to observe then select our top seven." Daniel told as all the students listened to his words. "During my years as the Tournament Terror, all i wanted was to be in the Sekai Taikai. But i blew my chance.. I am here to ensure that you maximize yours. Everyone i know who has participated in this has horror stories. This thing is intense. unpredictable. People have died. Move! who's ready for that?" Mike said as he walked around the students.
Demetri looked around, "Wait. Ready for the tournament or to die?" He asked as nobody answered his question. "I will do to you what the Sekai Taikai will do. I will surprise you with events. i will push you to your limits. And if any of you delicate flowers feel like going to your senseis and crying, don't. i've been given full authority for these eliminations." He said with a strong tone.
"Selections. Let's keep this positive." Daniel spoke up but Mike turned to face him. "You came to me. The deal was my way or the highway." He said which made Daniel and Johnny look at each other. Mike faced the group of students, "Get on the sparring deck." he told but when no one moved, he shouted, "Now!" which made many students jump and walk forward.

"To survive the first round, you will need to show me excellence and speed." And with that, the students were now trying to catch chickens. Alana being Alana, got annoyed by this.
"strength. Endurance." Alana and the others did various things like punching and kicking wooden boards and leaning up against the fence while sitting and holding large rocks. "and teamwork." The group was on the sparring deck. After Robby and Miguel did some work together. And Bert's fail with Chris, Mike paired Alana with Tory.
