Nat's news

"Look who decided to join us. We were about to send a search party" Tony teased as the two of you came to the supper table.
"We got sidetracked" you didn't lie.
"Very sidetracked" Bucky couldn't keep the smile off of his face if he tried.
"We all know what that means," Wanda giggled.
"Please don't mess this up" Steve looked at Bucky imploringly.
"He's not," you assured him. Bucky pulled out a seat for you and you sat down. He pushed you back in and took the seat directly beside you. Bucky reached into the center of the table and started grabbing platters of food. He would fill up your plate and then load his own with even more. Admittedly you had worked up an appetite, and your wolf was pleased with how her "Mate" was treating her. You could feel her preening in the back of your mind as she watched through your eyes.
"What does "mate" mean to werewolves?" Wanda finally asked.
"I don't really know. I know in modern fiction, it's someone that the moon goddess bestowed upon a werewolf to be their forever person. But I don't have the venom to mark a mate, if that was true" you frowned.
"You know, most fiction is based on fact. We really need to get you in touch with a real werewolf" Tony frowned. "Are you two at least using protection?" he asked.
"Yes," Bucky nodded. "For now at least" he added slyly and you flushed at the thought of having little ones running around.
"Don't forget we have your Y/N for the next few hours" Pepper reminded Bucky who groaned in response.
"I did forget" he admitted.
"I'm looking forward to sitting in the sun" you hummed happily.
"Didn't you just spend the day in the sun?" Steve asked with a chuckle.
"True. But this time I get to see the sunset. It's an ideal time of day" you smirked.
"I can't wait for the girl talk!" Wanda said excitedly, bouncing in her seat.
"Nothing too much, doll" Bucky whispered to you with a slight flush on his cheeks.
"Oh? Are you worried I'll put all the rest of the guys to shame?" you asked with a wink.
"Nope, no. We don't need to know" Tony shook his head.
"We need to know," Nat said with raised eyebrows.
"Doll," Bucky said pleadingly.
"I promise" you giggled, enjoying having a moment to tease him in front of his friends/family.
"Party pooper" Wanda frowned.
"Sadly, I shall be. Are we playing cards?" you asked.
"Iced tea and tanning," Pepper smiled.
"That sounds perfect!" you clapped and went to focus on your meal.

Conversation around the table went well, and you didn't mind at all giving your view point. You were usually shy in new environments, but you were getting used to being around this group of people. It made it easier that they knew your secret, and you didn't have to shy away. They seemed so accepting of you, which was exactly what you had been looking for most of your life.
You ran up to your room to get a swimsuit back on, a black one that was strapless, but had a fabric that flattened out your stomach a bit. You put on the same jean shorts from earlier and ran back downstairs excitedly.
When you got outside you saw Bucky was set up at a table not too far away with the rest of the guys playing cards with the girls frowning at them. They had a tanning chair waiting for you, and you slipped out of your shorts and got on the lounge chair.
"You need suntan lotion" Nat told you suddenly as you were just getting comfortable. "You're burning already," she said.
"Burns don't stay around too long, not since I became a werewolf" you shrugged, surprised at yourself for being so forward about it.
"Still it will hurt and Bucky wont be able to touch you tonight" she said a little louder and you heard movement of a chair and Bucky came over and took the offered tanning lotion from Natasha who smirked at her own victory.
"Sit up doll" he instructed and you pouted. He put a generous amount of suntanning lotion in the palm of his right hand and he started with your shoulders and neck. You closed your eyes and just enjoyed his touch, your skin coming alive with the simple touches. He rubbed in the oil all over your front, and took his time on your face before instructing you to lay on your stomach. He then started on your shoulders and made his way down your legs, spending more time than necessary on your ass. It was mostly covered anyways, but for some reason he had it in his mind that he needed to get there too.
"Thank you" you said as he finished. He kissed you on the small bruise that came out from the mark he left on your shoulder and gave you a playful spank on the bum.
"That was definitely my pleasure, Y/N" he said, his voice deep. You knew he was turned on just from the way he spoke, but he adjusted himself in his pants and made his way back to the guys at the table.
"That was hot," Wanda whispered.
"Everything he does is hot" you giggled.
"Bruce did it earlier, now I'm all hot and bothered," Nat admitted. "He's not getting the good night sleep he was looking forward to," she added with a chuckle.
"Honey, we can hear you," Bruce said with flushed cheeks.
"Good" Nat grinned, almost cat-like. You burst out laughing, you couldn't help yourself. Bruce seemed torn between whether he wanted to play cards, or get Nat to leave early. Nat looked him dead in the eyes and licked her lips slowly and he had to look away. You could tell the internal battle was real.
"Your wolf is pleased" Wanda mentioned off handedly.
"She seems to be. She's preening inside of my head" you smiled, keeping your eyes closed as you continued to lay on your stomach.
"It's a good thing Peter and Pietro are not here. Pietro would be having the time of his life right now" Nat chuckled. You peeked at Bucky and he seemed to go rigid at his name.
"He's a nice boy" you said softly. "But a little young for me, and not who my wolf or my body wants or needs" you shrugged.
"What else does your wolf need?" Pepper asked you.
"I'm not sure. I've read a lot, but there's no pivotal answers that I'm looking for to be honest. I wanted to know more about my wolf side, but there's just not enough documentation. I need to meet another wolf to know for sure, and I have so many questions. The only thing I really know is that they usually live in packs and are reclusive to humans" you sighed.
"Does your wolf want to be reclusive?" Nat asked curiously.
"Not really. We are so used to being in small groups, this seems big. I was initially a bit worried, but I've adjusted, as has she. She doesn't really talk to me, but I can feel what she feels" you admitted.
"What about when Fury calls in his favors?" Wanda asked, already knowing the answer.
"She gets scared, but so do I," you frowned. "Maria has taught me some self defense measures, but the only thing that helps me in the field is my wolf side. The last mission was too scary for me, and I got caught. I don't know if I can keep saying yes to Nick.... But at the same time, I don't have it in me to say no to him either. It's odd, because in all the years I worked for him, he never asked me to go in the field. Now he's asked me twice and both times did not end well for me. I got caught, if I didn't have the backup team or you guys backing me up... I don't know what would have happened" you frowned.
"You're worried that Hydra is going to try to take you again" Wanda said without a question in her mind about it.
"All the time. They almost got me when I was living with my friend Jennifer. I was leaving work one night and they tried to do a snatch and grab. My wolf took over and killed some of them. Maria Hill saved me from a bullet I think, because she came out to help me. That's when I decided to stop working for Shield and look elsewhere. Fury promised he could protect me, and he tried. But in the end he referred me to come work here, and I haven't looked back since" you said softly and you heard everyone had gotten very quiet while you were speaking. "I don't want to run forever, but it feels like the only choice I have. I don't like killing people, and I really don't like the taste of blood" you added.
"You don't have to run anymore. We've got you now. Their loss is our gain" Pepper said with confidence.
"Bruce and I got good news today" Nat said, changing the subject for you, seeming to catch on that you were getting uncomfortable. "We were approved for the adoption" she said.
"That's amazing!" you squealed while both Wanda and Pepper ran to her and gave her a hug. The guys all patted Bruce on the back and he seemed pleased with himself. You got up and timidly gave Nat a hug and she pulled you in and held you warmly, like Jennifer would when you hugged her. It was comforting.
"You'll make such an amazing mother" you told her softly.
"Which puts me off missions soon" Nat started, saying more for Tony's benefit. "Once my baby comes, I am a hands-on mom until they're older" she said.
"Of course!" Pepper quickly agreed.
"Do you know if it's going to be a boy or a girl?" Wanda asked quickly.
"We aren't sure yet. We have to go through a few more hoops. But it's a private adoption, and it's a baby" she said with a quick smile.
"Our babies will grow up together" Wanda squealed and you giggled at her excitement. "Now that just leaves Pepper and Y/N" she said with flourish and your face went red.
"We have an appointment so we shall see" Pepper admitted. "That leaves Y/N" she referred back to you.
"I've always wanted kids," you admitted softly.
"We could get started" Bucky said over his shoulder and your face went red.
