Butterfly (Bucky x Reader)

Lose control

For the next few weeks it was much of the same. The men would go out on patrols and you were stationed inside of the house. You did manage to get some amazon orders sent to the compound and when Bucky and Steve did their weekly trip for more groceries, they would pick them up. They were admittedly large orders so there were several boxes each time. Bucky and Steve updated you, Loki and Sam on the progression of the additional security and improvements made to the compound as a whole. There was a new security office with four officers watching a wall of screens full of the outside of the compound, and some of the main rooms. Some of the Avengers started coming back, but not everyone. Tony and Pepper were the first ones back. Then it was Wanda, Pietro and Vision. Clint, Nat, Bruce, Seraphina, Thor and Scott still had yet to return, along with your group.
You had made your nest perfect to your taste and spent most of your days walking downstairs on the walking pad, or munching on fruit and nestled in your nest on the large California king bed.

"Good morning, little wolf" Loki came in one morning where Bucky and Steve had gone for groceries again.
"Good morning, Loki," you greeted him with a smile. "Come have a seat," you patted the bed.
"Are you welcoming me into your nest?" he asked with one eyebrow raised.
"Yes" you nodded. "I think it's important for my babies to know their uncle Loki" you gave a bright smile. He came forward and sat on the side of the bed, being cautious. Once he was sure you wouldn't retract the offer, he got comfortable.
"Uncle Loki has a nice ring to it" he said after a moment.
"Of course it does, and they need to know you too" you said with a large smile. "I can feel them now, little flutters in my womb. Bucky can't feel it yet, but they are moving a bit" you beamed.
"We've been here four weeks now, are you sure you want to have your pups here?" Loki asked you.
"Lily says it's safe here, but she wants to make sure and go outside to check. Bucky won't let me outside when he's here, and you guys keep asking me to go downstairs for my exercise" you frowned. "We want to know for sure," you told him.
"I know that's important for wolves. Alright, I'll ask Sam to take over watching from the house and I will go with you and walk with you" Loki finally gave in. "But we need to tell Bucky and Steve once they get home so they know there's no trickery in this"

"I can agree to that" you nodded.
"Now come along pet, you need your breakfast" Loki patted your arm and started to get up. You got off the bed and followed him out to where he already had breakfast made with mostly proteins, and fruits. You quickly sat down and dug in with him eating beside you. There was also a smoothie, so you drank that as well, enjoying the delicious meals that the others cooked for you when it wasn't your turn. You tried your hardest to make good meals, but they took most of the day, and the growing list of ingredients were nothing to look down your nose at. You had wanted perfection from the beginning.
After breakfast Loki went outside to tell Sam to come in and eat and watch the screens from the living room, and that the two of you were going for a walk outside. Sam was hesitant to allow it, but gave in knowing that Loki was a master sorcerer as well as very fond of you. He would not let any harm befall you.
When he came back in the house, you were waiting by the door in your wolf form, and you wagged your tail at the two men as they came in. You caught a whiff of something from outside, and sneezed. Lily didn't like that smell, and neither did you. You wanted to go outside to investigate it immediately. If your nest was in trouble you were going to rip out the invaders' throats.

Bucky and Steve had gotten used to doing the weekly grocery run, always stopping briefly at the compound. By now, everyone was back with the exception of the four of you. Even Clint came back willingly to make sure that the compound was properly protected and tended to do his own rounds with Nat while Bruce took care of Seraphina. It's been four weeks now, and Tony was looking to start missions again. Bucky didn't like the sound of that. They wanted to hit Hydra hard for trying to come after the compound, and he had found their main base in Siberia. The whole team was needed, as well as Shield to make sure that it was taken down properly and as damaging as possible to their operations. Bucky didn't blame Tony for his blood lust on this one, or the need for revenge. They had attacked the one safe haven they had, and exploited it.
"More Amazon orders," Happy advised when they came back from their early morning shopping.
"Perfect! She's been waiting on them, her clothes are snug" Bucky admitted.
"She's twenty two weeks now, isn't she?" Happy asked, and Bucky smiled brightly.
"And she looks amazing, she glows and lights up the room" Bucky said with satisfaction.
"Not literally" Steve said quickly so that Happy didn't start pummeling them with questions.
"Ah! You're here!" Tony greeted them as they got to the table. "How is everything?" he asked, already knowing you were doing well from the preshopping debrief.
"Groceries are picked up, and now we just need to head back after we eat" Steve grinned.
"We were wondering, would you maybe consider bringing her back here?" Nat asked. "We all miss you guys, but Y/N is a big part of our lives too and we miss her.
"I'll talk to her about it, as long as it's safe" Bucky nodded.
"It's safe, we even have the iron legion stationed around the property ready to deal with any threat there could be" Tony advised.
"She's pretty taken with her current nest," Steve admitted. "She worked hard on it, and the bed is a bit bigger than the ones here," he said.

"I'll have a California king brought in for you. Just consider it, please" Tony seemed to be worried about having the team separated, but also you cut off from society.

"How is the pregnancy going?" Wanda asked, clearly close to giving birth.
"She handled it with grace, and not a word of complaint" Bucky grinned. "How long until the twins get here?" he asked.
"Anytime now, we've been monitoring her closely," Vision said in a loving tone.
"And how is Pepper's pregnancy progressing?" Steve asked, looking at a glowing Pepper who smiled happily.
"Everything is progressing perfectly" Tony grinned like a lovestuck fool.

When you got outside, you could still smell that awful stench that you had caught a whiff of from Sam when he came in. You put your nose to the snow and started following it. Loki seemed guarded and could tell that something was wrong.
"What is it, pet?" Loki asked you, willing you to answer him.
"Something doesn't smell right" you said through your mind, although you knew that Loki heard you loud and clear.
"Maybe we should go back inside" he suggested but you took off running towards the scent. You wanted to know, you needed to know. It smelled like wolves, but not real ones. You didn't know what was wrong with the scent. Loki lost sight of you but kept running following your footprints in the snow.
You ran a few kilometers, panting and in need of some water, your stomach was churning like you were in danger. You stopped and looked around and saw you were slowly being surrounded. Loki finally caught up and he took out his scepter, taking a protective stance.
"They are Hydra werewolves" Loki told you softly as he read their minds. The largest one let out a howl and changed forms to be half human half wolf so he could still speak.
"How dare you! You were supposed to be my mate" he bellowed. He looked like he had a broken nose at one point that was never reset properly, around six foot five, beefy and muscular. He didn't smell right.
"I found my mate the moon goddess blessed me with," you said, bearing your teeth and changing to your lycan form. Your pregnant belly protruding. Loki repeated what you said.
"Then we have no use for you, but maybe your children" the Alpha of the pack changed to his lycan form.
"Oh dear, you just signed your own death warrant" Loki said with a gleam in his eye. The Alpha attacked first, but the other were's came in for an attack as well. They were purposely trying to not let you get away, and trying to trap you, but you were having none of it.

You had five werewolves on top of you when the Alpha tried to put a pair of cuffs you recognized all too well onto your wrists. You snarled and used all of your omega powers to get them off of you and some of them out. You grabbed the Alpha by the neck and threw him against a tree, knocking him out cold. Loki had managed to knock out the rest but you had changed to your naked human form and you were kicking the sleeping Alpha.
"All that work on my nest, and now you just had to make it unsafe you repugnant bastard" you spit on him in anger. Loki wrapped you in his cloak, and picked you up. "I'm not done yet" you growled loudly, about to shift again.
"Darling, they can't hurt you. We do need to bring them back and chain them up outside so they cannot get away" Loki sighed.
"I want to go home," you said finally.
"Then it shall be done. Now you need to shift and go back and get Sam so he can help. I'll use my magic to bring them back" Loki offered.
"They ruined weeks worth of work" you growled and shifted again.
"I know, pet," Loki sighed. He used his abilities to chain them all together and started pulling them through the snow on a sled he had created out of thin air. You trotted back to the cabin, still smelling their stench on you. You had barely realized you had a few claw marks on you. You didn't care. You were done being attacked. You wanted revenge, and nothing would be sweeter than beating them into submission.
