Butterfly (Bucky x Reader)

Compound

By the time you got back to the compound, Bucky had fully resurfaced again and he only let you grab your purse and the two cats before ushering you back inside of the compound. Everyone else was taking care of bringing everything back in.
"Welcome home!" Pepper came over to you as soon as you got inside. "We were worried about you" she engulfed you in a hug, both your pregnant bellies pressing against one another.
"Thank God you're okay" Bruce came over and the two cats jumped off of your shoulders. "We were so worried," he added.
"It was Hydra werewolves that found us" Sam came in with several grocery bags.
"Come on, they will take a while," Nat came over holding Seraphina and you took the small baby and cooed at her. She looked up at you with large eyes and cooed happily. You followed Nat to the living room and sat down while Wanda waddled over to you. She looked like she was about to pop.
"How did you get away?" Wanda asked, even though she knew the answer.
"I didn't. I fought them with Loki, we won and took them as prisoners. There were only eight of them. Next time they should send a challenge if they think they are going to ruin my nesting grounds" you growled. "Well, they did, but if they wanted to get away with it" you added as an afterthought.
"Will you nest here now?" Wanda asked hopefully. "It's safe now, it's the safest it's ever been" you told you.
"I shall be. But I need to give them room to bring everything back upstairs. I need my comforts before I start" you sighed, rubbing your belly. "Do we have any shawarma here?" you asked, having a sudden craving.
"I'll order that for supper," Pepper promised. "I was craving it too," she added with a wink.
"And tabouli salad" you told her and she nodded knowingly. "Oh and..." you started.
"I'll make sure there's dessert" she promised and you flushed. "Adding Baklava to the list," she giggled.
"I just hope my ice cream survived," you pouted. "What I want to know is how they found us," you said, bringing your attention back to the baby in your arms.
"I figure they were watching the jet patterns. It's the only thing that makes sense" Nat sighed, sitting down beside you. "I think someone missed their aunty" she chuckled.
"I missed everyone" you admitted softly. "I just wanted a safe space, that's all" you gave Seraphina a kiss on the forehead.
"Tony has it that everything that flies overhead is being monitored. If there's something unsavory he goes out to check on it personally" Pepper told you. "He's been up and down a lot during the night," she admitted.
"He won't be able to do that soon" you gave a half smile. "Were there really renovations?" you asked curiously.
"A lot of them, do you want to see?" Pepper asked.
"Sure" you handed Seraphina back to Nat. Pepper got up and started showing you the daycare that has staff already on standby for later next year. She then brought you to where Tony added a library to the compound and it's already full of books. You noticed a large romance section and smiled at Pepper who admitted she liked those books too. Next you headed upstairs to where your suite was, only it was double the size, with a large nursery for now, and a larger bedroom and living room. You went into the bedroom and saw that the bed wasn't in yet, and frowned. Pepper told you Tony ordered for it to be removed and was having a California King bed being put in today so you could nest properly. The room was already filling up with different items and you also noticed in the kitchenette there was a larger standard size fridge for you. You opened it and saw your favorite treats were already inside, noting that the rest was probably being put into the compound kitchen. By the time you were done, you were tired and went back downstairs with Pepper and sat on the couch beside Wanda.

You woke up in time for supper and Bucky was sitting beside you and holding you while you rested protectively. You snuggled into him and kissed him to let him know you were awake. He smirked and picked you up and carried you into the dining room where you had your normal place at the table between Bucky and Steve. There was shawarma for supper, and tabouli salad as promised. You also noted that you could smell the baklava wafting from the kitchen.
"I showed Y/N most of the updates" Pepper told Tony as you started eating your shawarma.
"Ah good. Did you show her the updated gym and pool room?" he asked.
"No, I forgot," she admitted.
"Pregnancy brain," Wanda teased.
"What's in the gym and pool room?" you asked.
"We updated the pool and hot tub. There's also a sauna now, but you can't go into it until after you give birth. You can use the pool though" Tony advised.

"Sounds perfect, I've been needing a good swim" you hummed.
"Tony, what do I do with my house? It was supposed to be a safe house" Bucky frowned.
"Don't worry about it. It's still safe. They never actually found it, they were just investigating the vicinity according to Fury. The Alpha's not talking, but the other wolves are. They were following your scent, and never gave away their coordinates yet" he replied. "Also your bed has been delivered and set up already, so now you just have to put on the sheets, which I already had five sets delivered, and lots of comforters as well. You can make your bed, and then make your... nest" Tony seemed a little uncomfortable with the wording.
"I'll do a run tonight to claim the territory, so let the Iron Legion know that a werewolf will be in the woods" Bucky told him.
"No, you can't leave me," you pouted.
"It's just to claim the territory. Sebastian says it's important that he does it so we can make it as safe" Bucky soothed you, rubbing your back for you. You hummed and nodded in understanding.
"Then I'll go with you," you said.

"Absolutely not!" Bucky shook his head.
"No!" the rest of the team said at once.
"Pet, you're still in danger. We need to make sure that nothing happens to you. So let him claim the territory first and then you can do a run with him" Loki tried to soothe your frazzled nerves.
"Fine" you huffed. You didn't like it, but it was the entire team against one you. And you could see their side of it, you just didn't like it. "But I want to do a run tomorrow night," you said finally.
"Alright, but only if it's safe" Bucky gave in to you. You smiled and continued eating your meal.
"You also need to check in with Doctor Cho to check on the triplets' progress" Tony suggested.
"That too" you hummed to yourself. "Tomorrow," you promised.
"I'm holding you to it" Bucky leaned in and kissed your cheek.

Loki and Steve went back upstairs before you with Sam, and when you got to your room your bed was already made. You just had to unpack everything, like your books and clothes. You gave each of them a hug before you started going through the boxes with Bucky's help. You took some of his dirty shirts and went and put them on the bed to start your nest, and then some of the blankets that didn't have that smell of the other werewolves. Some of them had to be washed though. Bucky took charge of doing the laundry and kept trying to take his dirty shirts away from you but you growled at him in exchange for his efforts. He sighed and went and did the rest of the laundry instead.
You took your time putting away all the clean clothes back into the closet which was a bit larger than when you left, and also put away your books. By the time the two of you were done with your chores, you were both tired.
"I better get going," Bucky said softly, seeing it was getting late.
"No," you shook your head. "I won't sleep if you aren't here" you pouted.
"Alright, doll. Come on, invite me into the nest and we will lay down until you are asleep but then I have to go for a few hours" Bucky sighed. You took his hand and went into the bedroom and jumped up on the bed, doing a few circles before deciding on the most comfortable spot there was.
"You may come into my nest," you said, patting a spot beside you. Bucky got up and curled up beside you and hummed happily. You pulled at his shirt, wanting it for your nest and he chuckled but let you take it off of him, and you threw it off the bed. "It smells funny," you told him.
"Well, I did manhandle that other wolf" he admitted.
"Good" you nodded. Your lips sought out his in a soft kiss, to which he complied. You wrapped your arms around him and he chuckled, wrapping his arms around you as well. YOu hummed happily, as though this was the best day ever, even though it really wasn't. You were almost discovered at your last nest and had to leave, but now Bucky was going to claim this territory as his own so you would be able to feel safe. The Omega in you preened at the idea of it.

"I love you, you know," Bucky said softly. "I almost lost it today."
"I love you too, and so did I" you sighed.
"From now on, don't go anywhere without me, okay?" he asked, and there was a hint of begging in his baby blue eyes.
"Alright, no more adventures without you" you promised. "But I do need to go for a good run on our new lands if you claim them tonight" you advised.
"As long as I'm with you" he kissed your forehead. You sighed happily and nuzzled into him again before going to sleep.
