"You know, the food is better at Compound A" Bucky said as supper time rolled around.
"I don't doubt it. But I'm good here" you giggled. "I would say you could join me, but I know it's in your calendar to meet with the team" you pointed out.
"I'm calling in sick. I'm not ready for it to be over" he huffed and took out his phone. He quickly texted into it and then stuffed his phone into his back pocket again. "Looks like I'm free for dinner" he winked at you.
"Bucky" you admonished him.
"I live with them, they can live without this handsome mug for a night" he licked his lips.
"Well, you are right about one thing" you said, sitting up and touching his cheek. "You are very handsome" you pecked him on the lips and moved away.
"Hey!" he chuckled and grabbed you by your hips and pulled you back onto his lap.
"What?" you laughed.
"You" he kissed you softly on the lips. "Didn't" he kissed you again. "Do" kiss "it" kiss "right" he licked the seam of your lips and kissed you deeply. You ran your fingers through his hair and he hummed happily as he drank from your lips. When he pulled back from the kiss you were in a daze and you smiled at him softly. "Can I join you for supper?" he asked, rubbing his nose against your own.
"Are you going to get in trouble?" you whispered.
"Nah" he shook his head.
"Sure, I don't see why not" you giggled and pecked him softly again. You got off his lap and straightened out your clothes before he stood up behind you. Alpine and Melody were sleeping on the couch, and barely stirred as the two of you moved in the room. Bucky went to grab his jacket and glove and you stopped him. "No, you don't need that," you said firmly.
"It makes people uncomfortable, doll" he frowned.
"Fuck them and fuck that" you said, your chest heaving. "I adore all of you, even that metal arm" you said passionately. "Would you hide me if I'm in wolf form?" you asked.
"Of course not" he shook his head, looking almost offended at the thought.
"Then let me be proud to have you with me, as you are" you smirked and he chuckled.
"I can't say no to you" he kissed the tip of your nose. You made a point of taking him by his vibranium hand and led him out of your apartment. You only stopped to grab your keys and lock the door behind you. You led him to the cafeteria and you both grabbed a tray. Tonight's special was lasagna and garlic bread with cesar salad. You each took fair portions of each item and then you grabbed a peach, and Bucky grabbed a plum before heading to your usual table in the back corner. You saw you were getting a few curious glances from some of the people in the room, a few of them from men. Bucky noticed as well and openly scowled at them for looking in your direction. You put your hand over his to grab his attention, and he gave you a smile before you nodded to his food and he finally started eating.
"What are you scowling for?" you asked with a giggle.
"They are checking you out," he growled.
"I think they were wondering why I wasn't sitting alone tonight is more likely" you giggled again.
"No, I know that look" he shook his head. "You're mine now" he said softly.
"Of course I am. You had me from the moment you introduced yourself at the bar" you squeezed his hand and decided to focus on your meal.
"What time are you starting in the morning?" he asked, making conversation.
"Steve says eight, but I'll try to get an early start after breakfast" you gave a soft smile.
"What would you say to joining me for supper in Compound A tomorrow?" he asked casually.
"I don't know. That seems like a big leap" you hesitated. "Tony has that for Avengers specifically, not for staff" you shook your head.
"Okay, maybe I'll join you here again. I have a mission on Tuesday. After supper we can go for a motorcycle ride" he suggested.
"You need approval from both Steve and Tony. It's bad enough you called off tonight" you pointed out.

"Any other terms?" he asked, slowly chewing on his food.
"We both wear helmets for the motorcycle ride" you said quickly. "And extra kisses" you added.
"Deal" he chuckled and leaned in and kissed you on the cheek.
"I'm so nervous, I've never been on a motorcycle" you admitted softly.
"Just hold me extra tight" he winked. "It's my way of getting your thighs around my hips" he added smoothly and you almost choked on your food. He burst out laughing, but seemed unapologetic.
"Bucky!" you said after you took a sip of water. He simply shrugged and went back to eating.
"I know a great place to go see the sunset. I'll pack my saddlebags with a blanket and a couple drinks for us. I'll make sure there's some iced tea and lemonade. Maybe some of those cold coffee drinks if I can find them" he said. "We can cuddle, watch the sunset and then come back in time for you to go to bed on time" he added smoothly.
"It sounds like you have it all figured out" you giggled.
"For you doll? I have our entire lives planned out" he winked.
"One small wrinkle in your plan" you pointed out.
"What's that?" he asked curiously.
"What if it's raining?" you asked.
"Then we forgo the bike ride and we stay in and cuddle" he shrugged. "Did you want to come to my place?" he asked.
"I don't want to step on any toes" you blushed.
"Come on doll, it will be fine. The only ones that really stop by are Steve, Sam and Loki. I'll even tell them not to come over" he said, giving you his best puppy eyes.
"Alright, but I have questions" you hesitated for a moment. "What are the rest of the team like? I've only really dealt with Steve and Tony"
"They are all pretty great," he smirked. "Wanda is married to Vision and pregnant with twin boys. We don't know how it happened to be honest. Natasha and Bruce eloped about a year ago, and are currently on their second honeymoon. Clint and Scott are huge family men. Peter and Pietro work a lot in the lab with Bruce, and Tony during the day. They tend to sneak out at night to help out in the city. Loki and Thor are our two resident princes and regularly go back to Asgard for princely duties, which is where they are right now. Rhody doesn't come around too often, he's usually working for the government. Sam is a pain in my ass, and Steve is a punk. You'd like Pepper. She used to be Tony's assistant before you know... Tony gave her everything and they got married. There's Happy that is there all the time, he's Pepper's bodyguard. He's married to Peter's aunt May, so he's also gone every weekend too. The team all know about you" he gave a sly smile. "Steve used to talk about you all the time. Now I talk about you all the time" he winked. "They also really appreciate how much trouble you go through for all the mission reports. Clint has been trying to find a way to meet you, but you always sneak out on him. He says he wants to say thank you in person" he smirked.
"Wow, they all sound great!" you said with a large smile on your face. "How is it going to work with babies on the way?" you asked curiously.
"Wanda is Tony's assistant right now. She's been taken off the mission rotation" he admitted.
"Oh! I had no idea. I thought they hired someone" you frowned.
"Nah, not yet. I think Tony is angling to keep her in the office after the boys arrive. Shield has most of these missions down pat, and doesn't really need our assistance. We are supposed to be for the big things anyways" he shrugged. "Most of these missions are a cakewalk. They usually have me help with clearing out the bases or standing guard outside. Someone else goes in and gets the data. I'm just there for hostages and prisoners" he said softly.
"Do you like it?" you asked.
"It's a distraction. Almost everyone I knew and loved died while I was under Hydra's command. I just have Steve left. I honestly don't know what I would do if I didn't do this" he admitted and you reached out and held his hand. "But then I met you, and I'm already thinking about retiring" he chuckled.
"I can't see you retiring" you shook your head with a giggle.
"What really made you leave Shield?" he asked curiously, and you stilled for a moment. You knew this question would come again.
"Hydra found me a few months ago and tried to take me back" you said softly. "I had lived at Shield for a few years after Nick found me, and moved out and in with Jennifer. I was headed home one night after work, and they tried to grab me in the parking lot. I changed into a wolf when I couldn't fight them off in my human form and killed them" you whispered. "Maria came outside and helped me. I was going to leave the country, because I never want to be under their control again. Nick talked me out of it and said that Steve was looking for an assistant since he's always on missions, he was struggling with all the reports and stuff. He said no one would try to do a snatch and grab from here, so I applied. I guess that's why I don't leave the compound very often. I'm always worried about a repeat performance" you frowned. You looked up and Bucky looked angry almost.
"I'll never let them take you," he said passionately. "I'll protect you" he swore.
"It's not really up to you," you said softly. "But I know you will if it ever happens" you gave a gentle smile. "Nick did call and say he cleared all the leaks on his team" you added.
"Oh?" he asked, waiting for you to continue.
"He offered me my old job back" you whispered.
"Please tell me you said no" he seemed worried.
"Of course I said no. I sleep better at night here, besides. The pay is better, and so is the insurance" you gave a bright smile.
"And he accepted that?" he asked with a chuckle.
"Well, no. But I did tell him no a few times" you shrugged. "I told him I would help him if he needed me to, but I'm staying here."
"I don't think we'd survive without you" Bucky leaned over and kissed your cheek again.
"You would, silly" you giggled.
"No, pretty sure Steve would have gone insane with the amount of reports that go past your desk everyday" he chuckled. "I'd have to apply at Shield and start working there, so they would be out an Avenger" he added.
"You wouldn't dare!" you gasped.
"Watch me" he said, his eyes glittering.
