Butterfly (Bucky x Reader)

Settling in

Waking up in the morning, you were happy to see that Bucky was back and curled around you in your nest. The bed was quite large, but neither of you were taking up that much space. Melody and Alpine however, were sprawled out in front of you since you were laying on your side with him behind you. You turned in Bucky's arms and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. He smelled like the woods, which was quickly becoming a favorite. You nuzzled into him more, wanting nothing more than for the morning to last forever, just like he is your forever. There was nowhere else you could ever want to be. The whole bed smelled like him, much to your pleasure.

"You should kiss him again. I'd love to see him wake up like that" Lily said in your head. You couldn't help but giggle.

"He worked so hard last night, I don't want to wake him," you replied.
"Well, Sebastian wouldn't be against it, I want to know if they secured the area" she said.
"I'm sure they did, I don't want to ruin the moment" you admitted. You felt the babies moving in your womb, and remembered you had to go see Doctor Cho to check on the triplet's progress.
"See! A good enough reason to wake him. We need to check on the pups" she said, and you could hear the smile of victory in her voice.
"Well, I do want to see how they are doing," you admitted. You leaned in and gave Bucky a longer kiss, waiting for him to wake up. You lapped at his bottom lip, requesting entry and you heard him wake with a hum and suddenly he pulled you with him so you were on top of him and he deepened the kiss. Lily seemed to take the back burner for a moment, allowing you and Bucky some time to spend together.
"Good morning doll," Bucky said as he pulled back from the kiss.
"Good morning, my big strong Alpha" you giggled. "Are we safe now?" you asked him.
"Yes, we are safe from what I can tell. I claimed the territory, but don't get any funny ideas. If you want to go out, it's with me, got it?" he asked.
"Yes sir" you did a mock salute and rolled off of him. You put on one of your maternity dresses that was getting a bit tight around the middle and you padded out to go use the facilities as well as get at least partially ready for the day.
"Where do you think you're going?" Bucky called to you, but you were already in the bathroom. You couldn't help another giggle. Once you were done, you washed up and put on a little bit of face cream, but didn't bother with make up. You opened the door back up and Bucky was standing on the other side of it with his arms on either side of the door and he was leaning in. "You can't just give me a kiss like that and run off," he said with a smirk.
"You'll live" you giggled, giving him a peck on the cheek.
"Where's your slippers?" he asked, looking at your bare feet. You shrugged, not having a clue. He huffed and went into the bedroom while you went to the kitchenette to make tea for the two of you. You also opened the fridge door and pulled out some strawberries. You waited for the water to boil and then made the tea the way both of you liked it. A dark blue mug for him, and a purple mug for you. You went back to the living room with your strawberries, and tea and set them down before sitting down yourself.
Bucky came in a few minutes later holding a pair of pink slippers with Minnie Mouse on them. They were comfy, and you liked to wear them usually when you were alone. He crouched down by your feet and slipped them on each foot, kissing each ankle as he finished.
"There, now you can walk around comfortably without catching a cold" he grinned and got up and sat down beside you. He took a sip of tea and you nuzzled into him. "Are you cold?" he asked softly.
"Not when I have you to warm me" you said coyly.
"Did you want a blanket for your back?" Bucky asked, looking at your slightly exposed back.
"Your hands will do" you giggled.
"Here," he said, grabbing the black throw on the back of the couch and wrapping it around you before pulling you in for more cuddles. "It's a lot bigger in here now," he mused.
"And a second room for the triplets while they are young" you smiled broadly.

"We need to think about when they get bigger too," Bucky sighed.
"For now my darling, can we just enjoy the moment. Maybe go downstairs later and have Doctor Cho make sure they are healthy and growing properly?" you asked him.

"That we can do, doll" he quickly agreed.
You both enjoyed some strawberries and finished your tea, before Bucky went and got dressed in a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. All black today, that suited him just fine. You ogled his ass shamelessly and he chuckled when he caught you, and you just shrugged in response.

At breakfast everyone seemed excited for the upcoming births in the compound. Wanda had admitted to losing her mucus plug, so she would be giving birth to her twins anytime now. She's had a few contractions, but they were so far apart, it was nothing to be worried about yet. You and Bucky agreed it was better to go sooner rather than later to see Doctor Cho, just in case she did go into full labor.
You headed into the doctors office on the first floor and Doctor Cho was already in, and looked happy to see you both.
"Hello Doctor" you gave a small smile.
"Good morning Doc," Bucky said.
"Good morning you two, come on in. Are we checking on the triplets today?" she asked, cleaning the examination bed for you to get up on..
"Yes please" you nodded. Doctor Cho went to pull up your dress when Bucky growled loudly. She stopped immediately and looked at you with questions in her eyes. "Bucky and Sebastian, I need you to control your temper. She's trying to help," you said with your mind link. He seemed to calm down and he took a step back. You reached out your hand and took his, and he gave a gentle squeeze. "We are good now doctor" you said softly, trying to keep Bucky and his wolf calm.
"Did you change him?" Doctor Cho asked as she went back to her task.
"He asked me to" you nodded.
"One of these days, I'd like to do some tests," she said with an air of excitement.
"Possibly one of these days" Bucky consented, but his voice was gruff. You helped her pull down your panties under your belly and she put the transmission gel on you. With the ultrasound machine you could see your three little babies up on the screen and both you and Bucky grinned with pride.
"Did you want to know the sex of the babies?" she asked, taking a closer look.
"Yes please" you nodded after looking at Bucky for silent confirmation.
"It looks like two boys and a girl" she assessed after a few minutes. "A very healthy size for triplets, and very active," she grinned. Bucky leaned down and kissed you hard on the lips before standing back up and grinning like a fool.

"Oh yes, they do love to move around" you giggled. "Thank you," you smiled.
"Can we have some pictures?" Bucky asked, his voice full of emotion.
"Of course!" she agreed quickly. She printed out four for you, and Bucky took them and carefully creased them only on the breaks between each picture, then placed them in his back pocket. Doctor Cho busied herself with cleaning off the transmission gel and turning off the ultrasound machine. You fixed your clothes and saw that Bucky was waiting with open arms. You sat on the side and opened your arms to him and he came in to hug you before picking you up off of the table and carrying you out of the room. You nuzzled in under his neck and he let out a soft sigh of relief.
"I should probably text Jennifer and ask her if she wants to come over" you said softly as Bucky started heading up the stairs to go back up to your shared suite.
"I think Stevie would be over the moon with that. I know he really likes her" Bucky replied.
"Can we have hot chocolate while she's here?" you asked hopefully.
"I'll make you anything you want" he chuckled. "You don't need to ask permission, just tell me what you want, and I'll get it for you."
"Can you put me down?" you asked as a test. He groaned and looked at you.
"I'm not ready yet" he said a little gruffly. "Neither of us liked seeing you be touched by someone who isn't me."
"Okay, I'll wait to text her when we get inside" you gave in easily. You saw you were passing Steve's room and you knocked on the door when you were close enough. He came out in just a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt.
"Hey guys, are you headed back to your room?" Steve asked with a hopeful glint in his eye.
"Yes, but I want you to get dressed and come with us," you told him. "I'm asking Jennifer over, and I know it's been a while since you've seen her."
"I need a shower. Give me ten minutes" Steve ducked back into his room and shut the door hurriedly.
"I also miss Loki and Sam" you pouted.
"I'll text them baby doll" Bucky chuckled as you got to your suite. You opened the door and he walked in and set you down on the couch. He gave you a kiss on your forehead while Melody came and jumped on your lap, and Alpine jumped up on his shoulder. Bucky chuckled and gave Alpine a kiss while you pet  Melody. You took your cell phone out of your bra and texted Jennifer and she was so excited to hear from you. You told her you were back and she said she would be there in an hour, she just had to get ready. You knew she was anticipating seeing Steve again, so you didn't say anything about the timing.
Bucky meanwhile texted Loki and Sam to come over, and you grinned. It wasn't long before he grabbed two books for you two to read and he sat down beside you and you two cuddled close to one another and gave each other soft pecks on the lips before turning your attention to your books. One of the few things that brought you peace was being close to your mate, and reading one of your steamy books, getting ideas for what to do tonight.
