Possessive

When you woke up again, you were in the regeneration machine with Bucky sitting beside it, looking so upset. You were still sore, and groaned in pain.
"Doll?" Bucky looked up quickly to look at you. You reached out a hand, but it hit the glass you were encased in.
"What happened?" you asked, your memory a little hazy.
"You passed out. Doctor Cho cleaned you up and checked on the babies. They are fine. You are pretty badly bruised and so she put you in here to heal a bit," Bucky explained. Steve, Tony, and Loki brought the Hydra agents to Shield for being questioned and processed. Did they say anything to you?" he asked.
"Not to me, well... besides the name calling. But they kept telling each other to get me and I'm a high priority," you shrugged.
"Whatever it is, Fury will break them. But from now on, stay in the compound. If you need to go for a run, wake me up, okay?" Bucky seemed to be almost begging you.
"I won't fight with that" you sighed heavily. "How bad do I look?" you asked worriedly.
"Just as beautiful as the first time I saw you" he gave a half smirk. "With a little extra coloring and swelling," he added softly.
"I don't want you to see me like this" you huffed.
"Till death do us part" Bucky shrugged. "In sickness and in health."
"We aren't married" you chastised him.
"Do you want to be?" he asked quickly.
"Bucky," you sighed.
"Answer the question, doll" he licked his lips and crossed his arms.
"That's not the way I want to be asked" you shook your head.
"How do you want it?" he leaned in, putting his hands on his knees.
"Thought out, special to me or our relationship" you gazed at him. "Definitely not when I feel like I've been used as someone's punching bag" you added.
"I wish I would have killed him," he said gruffly.
"You're not a bad man" you licked your lips, wanting to change the subject.
"I wasn't there when you got hurt today" he seemed to be blaming himself.
"I didn't want you to be. I didn't want anyone to be" you half laughed at the hilarity of the situation. "Steve offered to go with me, and I declined. I snuck out of our suite while you were sleeping, so you could get some extra sleep. No one could have prevented this" you put your hand up on the glass and he reached out and put his hand up against yours.
"You can't do that to me again" he said, looking pained. You nodded in response, figuring that it would be enough. You took him in again, and his eyes were rimmed with red and slightly bloodshot. He looked emotionally exhausted, and worried.
"How long was I out?" you finally asked.
"A few hours, there was a lot of cleaning up to do and taking care of your wounds. Doctor Cho said you probably will want a good shower when you get out of there since she couldn't get everything out of your hair. She also drew some blood to do some tests, then she checked on the babies. They are fine, and uninjured. Then I helped carry you in here and I've been waiting for you to wake up," Bucky explained. "You haven't been in here long enough to heal," he added.
"You should rest," you said after a brief pause.
"Until those goons are on the raft, I won't be sleeping much, doll," Bucky sighed heavily after giving a bit of growl.
"If they are with Nick? I'm pretty sure I'm safe" you giggled.
"Get some sleep, you're going to be a while" he gave a soft smile. You nodded and closed your eyes.

When you woke up again, Bucky was waiting with a big fluffy pink robe from your closet upstairs. He gave you a pair of his boxers and an oversized t-shirt to wear underneath until you got upstairs and had a shower. He also brought a pair of slippers for you to wear as well. He led you out of the medical bay, and instead of going back upstairs, he brought you to the dinner table where everyone besides Steve, Loki, Tony, and Clint were present. You looked at Bucky with questions in your eyes, and just kissed your forehead in response.
"How are you feeling?" Nat asked quickly, getting up and coming over. Bruce was holding Seraphina who was calm at the moment.
"I'm alright, and my babies are okay which is all that matters" you gave a small smile. Nat gave you a hug and held you tight for a moment.
"We were so worried," Wanda said from her spot beside Vision. Nat took a step back and both Wanda and Pepper came to hug you as well. Once they were done, Bucky put his hand in the small of your back and led you to your normal spot. You were quite hungry, so you were glad to see the large spread on the table. It consisted mainly of your favorites, so that was a huge plus in your eyes.
"Thank you," you smiled to the ladies.

"Of course, and we had some strawberries delivered upstairs since I can't be around them" Pepper gave an apologetic smile.
"Oh, that's wonderful. Thank you!" you said quickly. "I'm starving," you added.
"Well, let's dig in," Pepper grinned and started handing food around the table.

"I don't even see a scratch or bruise on you. I'm glad we got you back so quick" Sam commented.
"The regeneration machine works wonders" Bruce said in response.
"Did I look that bad?" you asked worriedly.
"Just a little bit" Thor looked apologetic as he spoke.

"Who knew there was trouble?" you finally asked.
"Steve heard something and looked out and saw those guys chasing after you, he hit the alarm and woke me up. Most of the team ran out ready for a fight" Bucky added extra portions of one your favorite dishes on your plate. You gave him a kiss on the cheek to thank him

"Tony beefed up security, and he's putting in more cameras," Pepper advised. "He's pretty mad someone got past his team."
"It happens, I guess," you shrugged, trying not to think of the altercation in the woods.
"We were thinking of watching a movie later, did you want to join us?" Wanda asked.
"I might," you said noncommittally. You wanted nothing more than to go back upstairs into your suite and cry. This was supposed to be your safe place, and you had been caught with most of your clothes off. "I think I forgot my clothes..." you hesitated, afraid your voice would betray you, now that the danger you experienced was finally hitting you.
"I grabbed it already," Pietro said. "Everything is upstairs in your suite" he advised.
"Thank you," you nodded.
"They won't get you back" Bucky reassures you, giving you a kiss on your temple, and wrapping his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into him more.
"We will protect you," Thor agreed.
"We didn't all know about Hydra trying to nab you all those months ago. Tony updated us as soon as we had those goons in the holding cells in the jet. We know now, and we will take precautions" Sam said softly.
"I don't want to cause any trouble" you shook your head.
"You're family, it's no trouble" Pepper gave a kind smile.

You focused on your meal after that, looking forward to a good cry in the shower. Conversation had gone around the table, but everyone seemed focused on this mornings events. Once everyone was done, Sam grabbed your plate and cutlery while Bucky picked you up out of your chair and carried you like a princess back upstairs. You nuzzled into the curve of his neck while he was walking, and once you were both back in the suite, he just kicked the door closed behind him. He walked to the middle of the dark room, and just held you. You wrapped your arms around him and finally gave into your temptation and started to cry.
"You're never going out of my sight again" Bucky inhaled a sharp breath, peppering you with kisses.
"You'll have to eventually" you held him a little bit tighter.
"I'll be watching you on cameras. You're not leaving here without me again" he said a little gruffly. He finally took a few steps towards the couch and sat down. You moved only to sit more comfortably on his lap, and had a good cry. You didn't feel sorry for yourself, you were just scared not only for yourself but your unborn children as well. Once you were done, Bucky grabbed some tissues and gave them to you so you could wipe your face.

"Thank you" you sighed softly. "I feel silly," you admitted.

"There's nothing silly about this. Your feelings are valid. You never should have been in a compromising situation in the first place. Here it is safe," Bucky said. You finally looked at him in the eyes and they were glassy and red rimmed like he had shed a tear or two as well. You kissed him on the cheek, choosing not to comment. "I'm getting Tony to put extra security on our suite too, just in case" he kissed you back.
"You're getting awfully protective," you sighed.
"You're my mate, and they tried to take you from me. There will be hell to pay" Bucky said with a growl. "Mine" he kissed you hard on the lips. Your wolf preened inside of you at his possessive attitude. You moved on his lap and saw both your phones were on the table. You reached for your phone and turned on "Turned into missing you" by Max McKown. It wasn't the most romantic song, but his voice soothed you. Bucky rubbed your back in large circles, making sure to get the entire back.

"I love you" you said softly. 

 "I love you too, never forget that" he kissed your lips again for good measure.
