Butterfly (Bucky x Reader)

Wanda's surprise

That night after you both finished with the laundry, you made love under your new quilt before falling blissfully asleep. You woke up in the morning to the scent of coffee and the sounds of whispered laughter coming from the living room. You got up and put on fresh undergarments, a pair of black leggings, and a mint green t-shirt and rushed out barefooted to the living room, making your way to the bathroom. You saw Steve, Loki, and Sam were in your living room and seemed to be having a good time just whispering amongst themselves.
"Good morning doll" Bucky said with a bright smile on his face.
"Good morning gentlemen" you gave a quick smile, wave, and headed to the bathroom. You closed the door firmly behind you. You quickly did your business and washed up. You came back out and saw that Bucky had switched seats with Loki and now had a spare spot beside him. There was even a fresh cup of coffee waiting for you, made to your taste.
"Good morning" Loki, Steve and Sam said as you sat down beside Bucky who gave you a soft kiss as soon as you were seated.
"So good to see you this morning," you told them.
"We were just discussing Bucky's plans to steal you from us and bring you up to our favorite spot and how we are absolutely against it" Loki grinned from ear to ear.
"You can all join, I'm just letting my wolf out and we are going swimming while it's not too cold yet" you shrugged.
"Good, now that's settled" Loki nodded to himself.
"Hey, you tricked her. I said I was taking her alone, without you numbskulls" Bucky pouted.
"She already said we could go," Sam smirked.
"Sorry jerk, but the lady did invite us," Steve grinned.
"But... we had plans," Bucky whined.
"Having sex in the woods is hardly sanitary for her. You'll have to wait" Loki deadpanned. Your face went flush, and you took a sip of coffee quickly.
"It's about being one with nature" Bucky sputtered.
"Yes, well, you shall not today. Besides, I'm looking forward to it already" Loki smiled again.
"We have tonight" you whispered to Bucky who grinned.
"True" he agreed and put his hand on your knee. Your phone dinged on the charging station and you pulled it off the wireless charger and looked at it. It was Wanda asking if you were busy.
"Looks like you four have some time to yourself. I'm going to see Wanda" you told them as you texted Wanda you were on your way over.

When you got to Wanda's place Vision was waiting at the door looking a little anxious which was odd for him.
"Hi Vision" you smiled at him. "Good morning."
"Good morning, Wanda's waiting for you inside. She said she needed a girl talk" he frowned.
"Why don't you go to my place and I'll go see her" you gave him a small pat on the shoulder and then knocked on the door three times before letting yourself in. You walked in and Wanda was sitting in the chair and her stomach looked a bit larger than it did yesterday and she looked panicked.
"What the heck?" you closed the door behind you quickly.
"I don't know, I just woke up this way" she said with tears in her eyes.
"Okay, let's not panic" you told her walking over. You looked in her eyes and touched each side of her stomach and felt movement. "How far along are you?" you asked her.
"Five months" she told you.
"Are you sure?" you asked, looking at her stomach pointedly.
"That's what the doctor said a week ago" she nodded.
"That's a bit bigger than yesterday, and they are moving quite a bit" you hummed to yourself. You heard another knock at the door and soon Nat and Pepper came in.
"Oh fuck" Nat said with a look of surprise on her face.
"Wow" was all Pepper could muster. "Do you want me to call the doctor?" she asked quickly.
"I don't know. Is this normal?" Wanda looked worried.
"I don't think anything about your pregnancy is normal, hun" you took a step back. "Did you eat anything different?"
"No, I just had my usual tea before bed, and I woke up in a bit of pain and this..." she gestured to her protruding stomach. "Was there."
"Okay, no one is panicking. We will call the doctor in, and sneak Wanda downstairs" Pepper took charge.

"I don't want Vision or Pietro to worry," Wanda said quickly.
"That ship has sailed with Vision. I sent him to Bucky's place" you gave a soft smile. "Come on, let's get you on your feet" you took her hand and helped her up. Nat was quick to stand behind her as the four of you made your way to the door with Pepper on her phone.
"Once we are done with this, we should discuss your little one on the way, you can't hide it from us" Nat said with a smirk.
"I'm only three months," Pepper said with flushed cheeks.
"Wow, baby fever has hit the compound" you giggled.
"The way you and Bucky go at it, it won't be long until you are one of us" Wanda said with a chuckle. "If you aren't already," she added quickly.
"My periods are random at best since what happened with Hydra. It would just be my luck I'd get my period and go into heat at the same time" you frowned as the four of you got into the elevator.
"That would be awful. But that wouldn't stop Bucky" Wanda giggled.
"Yeah, by the way he looks at you, it definitely won't stop him" Nat chuckled. "We heard back from the adoption agency, we are so excited. If everything goes through, we will have our baby this week or next week" she said with a bit of excitement.
"Boy or a girl?" you asked her.
"I'm going to keep that a surprise for now" Nat gave a soft smile. The elevator dinged and the four of you went to the medical bay and shut the blinds while Wanda got up on the bed.
"I see a lot of baby showers in our future" you giggled. "At least three," you winked at Wanda who looked like she was starting to relax.
"Maybe sooner rather than later too," Pepper added. "Doctor Cho is on her way, she says to just stay relaxed" she told Wanda.
"I'm as relaxed as I can get" she said thickly.
"Maybe we can turn on some soft music?" you suggested.
"No, she loves watching old tv shows. Let's put on I love Lucy" Nat grabbed the converter and Wanda relaxed on the bed, and laid back to watch the television transfixed. Half an hour later Pepper's phone went off a few times and she frowned.
"What's wrong?" you asked her, while Nat was holding Wanda's hand soothingly.
"Tony wants to know what's going on, and why we aren't at breakfast" she sighed.
"What do we tell him?" Nat asked.
"We are having a late breakfast and for them to go ahead" Pepper sighed. "I won't be able to hold him back for long. He's headstrong and will know something's up."
"I'm here!" Doctor Cho came in and set her purse down. "Oh! That's a surprise" she said looking at Wanda. "I just saw you the other day," she said softly, looking at the baby bump.
"Is there something wrong with my babies?" Wanda asked worriedly.
"Let me check" she came over with a no nonsense attitude and grabbed an ultrasound machine. Wanda pulled up her pajama top and Doctor Cho squirted on the gel before she turned on the machine. She pressed the wand up to her stomach and moments later a clear picture of two babies came up on the screen. She turned on the speaker and you could hear three heartbeats, one was Wanda, and one for each twin. "I just need to run some tests" she said, putting the machine away and wiping off the gel. She took a blood sample and went over to the microscope and sat down.
"Are my babies okay?" Wanda repeated.
"Perfect heartbeat, they just grew a little faster than anticipated for a normal pregnancy" Doctor Cho said as she looked at the blood sample. "Did you do anything different over the weekend?" she asked.
"No, I had my special tea from Loki, I relaxed. I helped Y/N pack a suitcase because she's moving in with Bucky. I went for a walk at the farmers market. Just standard things" she shook her head. "Nothing out of the ordinary" she added quickly. Doctor Cho came over and ran her hands over Wanda's stomach and sighed.
"It could be because you are a witch, and nothing about this is technically ordinary" she said. "You just jumped to six months pregnant. I'd try to stay away from anything too stressful" she advised.
"I have the perfect idea for today, why don't the four of us take over the living room and watch old tv shows and binge eat whatever we want... within reason" Nat said, but caught the look Doctor Cho was giving her and she corrected herself.
"I'll tell Bucky to go without me, this is much more important" you nodded, taking out your phone.

"Are you sure? You were really looking forward to going for a run and a swim" Wanda looked stricken.
"And miss out on girl time? I think not. This is way more important than hanging out with the guys all day" you winked at her. You truly meant it as well. You wanted to just spend time with the girls and watch tv if that would keep Wanda nice and calm.
"Yeah, I'm canceling the farmers market with Bruce. I want to spend time with my best girls" Nat quickly agreed.
"Any chance we can eat breakfast in the living room?" you asked Pepper.
"Oh, I'm way ahead of you. By the time we get there, everything will be ready," Pepper said with a large smile on her face. You took out your phone and texted Bucky to have fun with the boys today, because you were spending the day with the girls instead. He sent you a crying emoji in response and you giggled. He was being overly theatrical.
