After breakfast it was back to work. You received a few comments from the team that you didn't need to start so early, and that you could relax if you wanted to. You wanted to believe them, but at the same time, you felt like the reports took precedence and that you didn't have the option to slow down or take the time off. Bucky spent the morning in the office, writing out his report before he left for the day. You weren't sure what he was up to, but he did give you one of those kisses that made your knees feel weak before leaving. He promised he would work on his typing tomorrow, while you were still working on everyone's reports. Steve left for the afternoon as well, and you wondered what they were up to.
At six Bucky came back into the room and put his hands on your shoulders and gave them a rub.
"Hello, doll" he purred.
"Hello" you giggled, turning your head to get a better look at him. "What are you up to, handsome?" you asked him.
"Well, I made sure all your belongings were moved over today, and we got our delivery for the swing and put it up" he told you softly as he continued to rub your shoulders. "All I need now is you at supper and then we are going upstairs to finish unpacking. Steve and Sam told me they are coming over to help, since they helped most of the day" he said softly.
"Aww, you guys are too good to me" you sighed. "I'm almost done with this page..." you trailed off as he closed your laptop. "Or I guess I'm done now" you sighed and he chuckled from behind you. He bent forward and gave the side of your neck and soft kiss and you wanted to purr with the attention. He nipped at the skin and you came alive with a simple touch. You quickly started putting everything away into your desk and locking up while he continued to suck, nibble and nip at the side of your neck and work his way down to your collarbone. You gave a soft moan and finally sat back, giving in that you couldn't think of what else to do. He pulled back and tapped at your shoulders and you took that as a sign he wanted you to get up. You grabbed your phone and your reusable water bottle that he had brought in before he left you for the day.
"Now should I carry you, or are you going to walk?" he asked curiously.
"If it wasn't for the skirt, maybe I'd get you to carry me" you said a little coyly, feeling a little braver with him.
"I take that as a personal challenge" he chuckled, leaning in more. You giggled and darted out of the room and he barked a laugh before following you down the stairs. The two of you sped walked towards the table, although it was more of you speed walking and Bucky easily keeping pace beside you. Bucky took a few extra strides and pulled out a chair beside Steve and gestured for you to sit down. You took the seat and he pushed you back in and grinned that you were slightly out of breath, while his breaths were still slow and even.
"How was the day?" Steve asked you pointedly.
"I finished my report by noon, and I've been working on Bucky's report now. I'll be getting to everyone else's as soon as I'm done. My email box is full of data and reports that I also have to send to you, Tony, and Fury" you updated him.
"I probably should have said it differently. How are you doing?" Steve chuckled.
"I'm good" you flushed a little and looked at Bucky who had sat beside you. His right hand came to rest on your upper thigh and you weren't so hungry for food anymore. "Writing a report from scratch is interesting," you admitted.
"It can be," Bucky smiled at you lovingly. Food got passed around the table, and conversation was forgotten as everyone started digging in. It was quiet for a few minutes while everyone started eating before Tony spoke up.
"Your bookshelves will be here on Wednesday, so you'll have room for your books. We saw how many boxes of them were brought over" Tony chuckled.
"I do love a good book," you admitted. "I also read off the Kindle app on my phone, and Wattpad too. I like indie writers on both platforms. It's also cool to read the fanfiction that people write, or the werewolf romances. I'm also a fan of vampire romances too" you smiled.
"What were you reading this morning?" Loki asked you.
"A dark romance on my phone. I heard the audio book is better though" you admitted. "I've been thinking of getting Audible, since the books I'm interested in are mainly on that platform from my research. I've heard excerpts and they are good, the voice actors really bring the books to life" you smiled widely.
"You should do it. I think that would be a fantastic way to get some of your work done while doing all the reports," Nat said enthusiastically.
"I agree, besides, Bucky would reap the benefits" Wanda wiggled her eyebrows.
"I'm actually kinda interested in hearing these books too" Bucky admitted.
"I think it's a good idea that you can listen to books or music while you're working. You're not fielding calls anymore, so it makes sense" Steve quickly agreed.
"Alright, I'll do it," you said with a nod. Loki chuckled with a smirk and shook his head, already having been in your head.
"Little wolf, I doubt your mate would be against the books you are thinking are not going to make the list" Loki smirked.
"Yeah, a little morally grey book here and there is always good" Wanda nodded vigorously.
"Now I'm excited" you said, squirming in your seat.
"Me too" Bucky looked at you hungrily and gave a wink. He squeezed your thigh before going back to his food.
You finished eating, and put your dishes in the kitchen sink at Happy's insistence. While you were in the kitchen, you downloaded Audible and looked up Lights Out by Navessa Allen and bought it with your credit, and downloaded the book before going back to the table. Bucky quickly got up and asked you to wait while he put his dishes away. You refilled your water bottle and he put his hand on your lower back before leading you back upstairs after you thanked everyone for supper.

"You don't have nearly enough clothes" Loki said as he helped you unpack all of your clothes from four boxes. You giggled and rolled your eyes.
"I have enough. I just have to get dressed up for work, and maybe the bar once in a while. I mainly just like to wear jeans and a t-shirt when I'm at home, or leggings," you admitted.
"Bucky likes them all" he told you softly and you flushed.
"Doll, some of these books look like they could use an upgrade" Bucky came into the room with a book that had definitely seen better days.
"Well, that's because I get a lot of them second hand Bucky bear," you giggled. "Don't judge a book by its cover, it's what's on the inside that counts."
"I'm making a list," he said, ignoring that comment.
"Darling, you should wear this more often!" Loki said, pulling out a light blue baby doll dress that would show off your breasts, chest tattoo, and legs. Bucky looked at the dress and his nostrils flared a bit, and you could feel him getting possessive all over again.
"I've never worn it to work" you told him, being specific.
"Yes, but you've worn it to the bar" he said with raised eyebrows.
"Maybe I will again" you consented.
"What about one of our dates?" Bucky asked hopefully and you smiled at him.
"Our next date" you nodded. "But it can't be too far away, its a summer dress. That reminds me, I need to start looking for a winter wardrobe. I donated most of mine in the spring" you frowned to yourself.
"I'll take you shopping," Loki offered quickly.
"Nope, I'll be doing that," Bucky said just as quickly. You giggled and shook your head.
"I think I can handle some shopping. I'll probably do a majority of it online" you admitted.
"That takes the fun out of it" Loki pouted a little.
"I'll think about it" you sighed, wanting to give in but at the same time you didn't tend to leave the compound very often. There was also the fact that your relationship with Bucky was already in the papers. You didn't want to give the media any more ammunition.
"We're going shopping?" Sam came in and Bucky gave a pained look.
"That sounds like fun," Steve joined in.
"Alright, we will go shopping" you flushed again, finally agreeing. "But I'm not the only one shopping," you warned them.
"We all need winter clothes," Steve shrugged.
"And Jennifer is coming" you added with a sly smirk. You saw Steve break out into a smile and he nodded that he understood.
"Let's take a break from this, you're still pale" Loki decided. "Besides, all that's left is your undergarments and I doubt you want us in them" he announced.
"I would love a tea" you said a little shyly.
"Perfect, I'll go prepare it" he left while Steve and Sam followed him, likely to see what else that Bucky had in his stash still. Bucky wrapped his arms around you and gave you a soft kiss on the tip of your nose and held you close.
"Did you want one of my sweaters to sit outside?" he offered, running his hands up and down your back.
"Yes" you breathed, wondering if there was anything that would stop you from loving this man. He reached behind you and grabbed a sweater out of the closet, still keeping you close, and then he stepped back slightly. He held open the zip up hoodie and you put your arms and snuggled in. He waited until you turned to face him and he zipped it up for you.
"I'll be putting away your undergarments, doll" he leaned forward and whispered in your ear.
"You don't need to" you giggled.
"Consider it a personal favor" he wiggled his eyebrows at you and you laughed. He put his hand in the small of your back and led you out to the balcony and you saw a large three seater swing already set up with a small table on either end. It was all dark brown and wicker. You silently hoped that he got a good deal on it as there wouldn't be much time to enjoy it.
"Is my mate pleased?" Bucky asked you with a satisfied smile on his face, already knowing the answer.
"I love it" you cooed.
"As I love you" he leaned in and gave you a soft kiss on the lips. You hummed happily and gazed up at him with love in your eyes.
"I love you too James Buchanan Barnes" you purred.
"They better leave soon" he groaned, making you laugh again. He was certainly insatiable, but so were you.
