Addicted to him
Jeff had just finished his afternoon lunch, feeling pleasantly full from the generous meal. He went to the bedroom, hoping to take a nap, when there was a knock on the door. Curious, he got up and opened it. His eyes widened in shock at the sight of the person standing there.
"Mark?" Jeff said, his voice full of disbelief. "How did you get here?"
Mark, his former bodyguard, stood in the doorway, looking just as surprised to see Jeff. "I'm your new bodyguard," he said, stepping inside.
Jeff blinked, trying to process the information. "How?"
"They helped me pay off my debts, so I became their bodyguard," Mark explained.
Jeff felt a mix of emotions. Relief at seeing a familiar face, but also confusion and a bit of betrayal. "So you're working for them now?"
Mark nodded. "Yes, but I wanted you to know I'm here. If you need anything, let me know."
Jeff nodded slowly, still trying to wrap his head around the situation. "Thank you, Mark."
Mark gave a small nod and then left, leaving Jeff alone with his thoughts. He sat on the edge of the bed, feeling a wave of uncertainty wash over him. He trusted Mark, but now everything felt more complicated.
Jeff found himself wandering outside, needing some fresh air to clear his mind. He ended up at the gazebo, a quiet and secluded spot by the lake. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and the peacefulness of the surroundings contrasted sharply with the storm brewing inside him.
He sat down on one of the benches, his thoughts a tangled mess. "Why is this so hard?" he muttered to himself, frustration evident in his voice.
He sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair. "Why can't I just hate him?" he thought, wrestling with the conflicting emotions. Every time he tried to convince himself that Bible was just his captor, memories of their intense moments together would surface, making it impossible to see him in a purely negative light.
Lost in his thoughts, Jeff didn't notice Bible approaching until he felt strong arms snake around his waist from behind. He tensed for a moment, startled, but then relaxed into the familiar embrace.
Bible's lips brushed gently against Jeff's cheek, sending a shiver down his spine. "What are you doing out here, all alone?" Bible's voice was a soft murmur in his ear.
Jeff turned slightly to look at Bible, their faces close. He tried to hide the turmoil in his eyes, but he knew Bible could see right through him. "Just... thinking," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Bible's arms tightened around him, pulling him closer. "About what?"
Jeff hesitated, struggling to find the right words. "Everything. It's just... complicated."
