Three months had passed since the accident. Bible had fully recovered, his commanding presence sharper than ever. His determination to reclaim his life and his bond with Jeff burned brighter, but the growing demands of Jeff’s work threatened to drive a wedge between them.

Jeff was immersed in his sketches in the study, surrounded by blueprints and designs. His fingers moved swiftly, bringing his visions to life.

The door creaked open, and Bible stepped inside, dressed in a fitted black shirt that emphasized his confident demeanor. He leaned against the desk, his gaze fixed on Jeff.

“Still glued to that desk?” Bible asked, a teasing smirk curling his lips.

Jeff glanced up, startled. “I didn’t realize the time. I’m working on something big, Bible.”

Bible folded his arms, his smirk fading. “And where does that leave me? Watching you drown in work while I wait for scraps of your attention?”

Jeff sighed, setting his pencil down. “It’s not like that. You know I’m doing this for us, for the future—”

Bible interrupted, stepping closer. His voice was calm, but the edge was unmistakable. “I don’t care about grand futures if it means you forget about the present.”

Jeff’s jaw tightened. “Bible, that’s not fair.”

Bible’s smirk returned, but it carried a hint of danger. “Fair? Life’s not fair, Jeff. But let me remind you—I don’t lose.”

Jeff sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I’m not ignoring you, Bible. I just—”

“You just forget,” Bible interrupted, leaning in closer. His voice was calm, but his words sliced deep. “You forget that I was the one who pulled you into my world. You forget how far I’m willing to go for you.”

Jeff swallowed hard, unable to meet Bible’s piercing gaze. “I’ll make it up to you,” he murmured.

Bible leaned back, his smirk returning. “You’d better.”

Before Jeff could respond, Tong entered the room, his eyes narrowing at the sight of them together.

“What’s going on here?” Tong asked, his voice dripping with suspicion.

“Nothing that concerns you,” Bible replied smoothly, not even glancing at his brother.

Tong’s gaze shifted to Jeff. “Still clinging on, I see.”

Jeff stood, his expression unreadable. “I’m here because Bible wants me here.”

“For now,” Tong said with a scoff, crossing his arms. “But let’s see how long that lasts.”

Bible shot Tong a warning look. “Enough.”

The tension in the room was palpable as Tong left, slamming the door behind him.

The house was quiet as Jeff take a break  for the day. He headed to Bible’s room, carrying a tray with tea and snacks.

Bible was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He looked up as Jeff entered, a glimmer of amusement in his eyes.

“Tea service now? You’re spoiling me,” Bible teased.

Jeff set the tray down and sat on the edge of the bed. “I just thought... you deserved something nice.”

Bible’s eyes softened as he pulled Jeff closer. He kissed him deeply, his hands trailing up Jeff’s back. He tugged Jeff onto his lap, his lips moving to his neck.
