Wedding

Jeff adjusted his tuxedo one last time, the silk fabric glinting under the soft lighting. He looked at his reflection, his jaw tight, trying to push away the sting of his brother’s absence. Just as he let out a shaky breath, the door swung open, and Tong stepped in, his expression a mix of smugness and irritation.

“Well, if it isn’t the man of the hour,” Tong drawled, leaning lazily against the doorframe. “Stockholm syndrome never looked so polished. You really went all out to marry your captor.”

Jeff turned slowly, his lips pressing into a thin line. “For fuck’s sake, Tong, can you just leave me alone? This isn’t the time or place for your crap.”

Tong smirked, taking a step closer. “I’m just pointing out what everyone else is thinking. You’re willingly marrying the man who kidnapped you. If that’s not insanity, I don’t know what is. What is it, Jeff? Do you like being his pet, or are you just too scared to leave?”

Jeff’s anger flared, but he forced himself to stay calm. Taking a step closer, he met Tong’s gaze with unwavering intensity. “You want to call me a puppet? Fine. You want to mock me? Be my guest. But don’t you dare question what Bible and I have. You think it’s easy to love someone like him? You think I stayed because I’m weak?” He chuckled bitterly, his eyes flashing. “No, Tong. I stayed because we care for each other. Because despite everything, he’s the only person who’s ever made me feel whole.”

Tong rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “Oh, spare me the romance speech. You’re just another pawn in his game, and you’re too blind to see it.”

Jeff smirked, stepping closer until they were inches apart. “Really? Then explain why he’s marrying me. Why he’s standing at the end of that aisle, waiting for me. Show that stupid face to the audience, Tong, and tell them how much you hate seeing your brother actually care about someone.”

Tong stiffened, his jaw clenching. “You think you’re special?”

“I don’t think—I know,” Jeff shot back, his voice sharp and confident. “You can call it whatever you want, but at the end of the day, I’m the one he chose. And I chose him, knowing exactly who he is. So if you’re done spewing your nonsense, I have a wedding to attend.”

For a moment, Tong just stared at him, his expression unreadable. Then, with a begrudging sigh, he extended his arm. “Fine. Let’s get this over with.”

Jeff hesitated, his smirk widening as he looped his arm through Tong’s. “Glad to see you’re finally catching on.”

As they walked toward the aisle, Jeff straightened his shoulders, turning to Tong one last time. “Oh, and Tong?”

“What now?” Tong muttered.

“Try to keep that stupid face of yours under control. Wouldn’t want the audience thinking you care.”

Tong’s glare deepened, but Jeff just laughed softly, his heart lighter as he stepped into the next chapter of his life.

Each and every step he took feels like a reflection of his past.
His parents were in jail, paying for the sins that had nearly destroyed their family, and his brother had refused to attend the wedding. Jeff had begged, pleaded, but his brother’s parting words still stung. “How can you love the man who destroyed our family? You’ve betrayed us.”

But Jeff couldn’t turn away from Bible. Not now. Not ever. His life had been cold and isolated until he met those dark brown eyes—eyes that burned with intensity and obsession, yet softened only for him. From the moment Bible saw him, he knew he had to have him.

“You should be mine,” Bible had declared, and against all odds, he was right.

Bible stood at the end of the aisle, his powerful frame commanding attention. His dark brown eyes were locked on Jeff, filled with an emotion that was rare for a man like him: pure, unyielding love. Jeff’s heart ached as he saw the slight red tint on Bible’s cheeks, a rare moment of vulnerability that made him even more beautiful.

Their love story had begun in darkness, forged in pain and misunderstanding. Bible had been cruel, taking Jeff as his captive, his obsession pushing them both to the edge. Yet, Jeff—an angel in every sense of the word—had saved him.

Bible had always believed he didn’t deserve Jeff. How could he? Jeff had given up everything—his freedom, his family, his peace—for a man who had kidnapped him. But Jeff had smiled at him, comforted him, and shown him a love so pure that it melted the ice in his heart.

“For you, I’d die or kill myself. Whichever makes you smile,” Bible had once whispered.

Now, standing at the altar, Jeff walked down the aisle with Bible’s brother by his side. The absence of his family was a sharp pain, but he reminded himself that this moment wasn’t about them.

It was about Bible.

Bible, whose gaze stayed locked on him as if the rest of the world didn’t exist. Bible, who had turned his life upside down and shown him what it meant to be truly loved.

When Jeff finally reached him, Bible took his hand, his grip firm but gentle. His voice was low as he spoke.

“You’re gorgeous,” Bible whispered. “I don’t deserve you, but I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to.”

Jeff smiled, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. “You already have, Bible.”

The vows they exchanged were filled with unspoken truths, a promise to care for each other’s hearts. Jeff would heal Bible’s cold, broken soul, and Bible would protect Jeff’s pure, untainted love.

And as they kissed, sealing their bond, Bible knew one thing for certain: his angel had saved him, and he would never let him go.

The evening felt weightless, as if the world outside had ceased to exist. Jeff stood before Bible, the air between them thick with unspoken emotions. Their love had been tested in so many ways, but tonight, it was only them—together in this space, this moment.

Bible reached out, his hands warm as they cupped Jeff's face. His eyes were searching, filled with a quiet intensity that made Jeff's heart race. "Show me," Bible whispered, his voice husky with the weight of his feelings, "Show me how much you love me."

Jeff swallowed, feeling the depth of those words reverberate through him. He had always known that Bible loved him, but tonight, the request felt different. It was more than a question—it was a plea, an invitation to give all of himself.

Slowly, with a tenderness that made his heart ache, Jeff closed the gap between them. His hands traced the outline of Bible's chest, the warmth of his skin grounding him. The kiss they shared was soft at first, tentative, as if they were both savoring the closeness, the quiet moment of peace after everything they had endured.

Bible's hands slid to Jeff's waist, pulling him closer. The world seemed to disappear as they moved together, their breaths syncing, their hearts beating in unison. Jeff could feel the trust, the vulnerability in every touch, and it made him ache with a love so deep it was almost painful.

"You've already shown me," Jeff murmured between kisses, his voice thick with emotion. "Every day, in everything you do."

Bible pulled back slightly, his dark eyes locking with Jeff's. A soft smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Then let me show you," he said, his voice low and filled with promise.

And in that moment, as their love enveloped them, there was no room for doubt, no space for anything but the certainty that they belonged to each other. They were no longer two separate souls; they were one, bound by a love that had survived everything the world had thrown at them.
