Dear Diary
Together, we managed to breach through a wall into safety. I assisted Melissa inside, only for danger to strike immediately. As if on cue, Midoriya pulled Melissa aside, dodging an attack from an unfamiliar guy. Swiftly, I swung my leg at the attacker, but he dodged back, and his sharp steel arm nicked my arm as I retreated. Midoriya stepped between us, blocking further damage.
"You shouldn't have come here," the stranger taunted. "Tell me why you criminals are doing this," Midoriya demanded.
I pulled Melissa back, keeping her away from the immediate danger. The stranger sneered, "You chose the wrong place to play hero," and lunged at Midoriya, sending him stumbling out of the window. Shock spread across Melissa's face. Taking a deep breath, I recalled something Mirko taught me and tackled the guy to the ground, my face stern with determination.
"Get up, Deku!" I shouted, my voice steady as Melissa tried to help Midoriya back inside. The stranger struggled beneath me, but I held him down, buying precious moments. Midoriya, regaining his footing, reached for Melissa's hand, pulling himself back up with her assistance.
"Stay back, Melissa," I urged, my focus still on the guy.. "You won't get away with this," I mutter to the stranger, I felt the stranger try to push me away, causing him to knock me in the nose. I stumbled back, feeling the sting. "Get away!" he blurted out. Midoriya responded instantly, sending a punch to the stranger's face.
Melissa looked at me, her face shocked. Midoriya rushed over, calling out, "Sage!"
"I'm fine," I reassured, chuckling despite the pain. "The bastard just caught my nose funny." Midoriya pulled out a tissue for me to wipe the blood running down my face.
"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," he said sternly.
I shook my head, chuckling again. "Shut up. I'm not the only one who needs help, yanno." As the bleeding stopped, I stood up and used my tears to heal the small cut on my arm. I turned to Melissa. "You aren't hurt, are you?"
She smiled and shook her head. "No, I'm okay." With that assurance, we got up and continued making our way up more floors. Reaching another corridor, we paused to catch our breath. Midoriya glanced at me, concern still evident in his eyes. "We have to be more careful," I say.
As we ascended, the atmosphere grew tense. Each step brought us closer to our goal, but also closer to more potential threats. The weight of our mission pressed on us, but we were determined to see it through.
