Dear Diary
Upon arriving at the Practical Exam Area, the Central Plaza, I was struck by the sheer size of this part of the campus. It was vast, with an open space that seemed to stretch endlessly. Standing before us were the various UA teachers, their presence commanding immediate attention. Aizawa stepped forward and spoke, his voice steady and authoritative, "Now then." He paused for effect, letting the weight of his words sink in. "Let's begin the final tests. Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you want to go to camp, then don't make any stupid mistakes."
Jiro, looking puzzled, voiced the question on everyone's mind, "Why are all the teachers here?"
Aizawa responded, "I believe a few of you have gathered information about potential ideas on what your final fight should be." This caused Denki to pipe up, "We're fighting those big ol' metal robots," with Mina adding excitedly, "Fireworks!"
I shook my head dismissively just as Principal Nezu appeared, his high-pitched voice cutting through the chatter. "This year's test will be completely different for various reasons," he announced. "The new tests have a new focus. There will be hero work, of course, but also teamwork and combat between actual people." He paused menacingly before continuing, "What does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs, and one of your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA teachers! Isn't that fabulous?"
The shock rippled through the crowd. Murmurs and gasps filled the air. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh, shaking my head. "So you were right," Shinso muttered, nudging me, who looked down at me with surprise.
Aizawa started announcing the teams for the practical exams. "Momo and Todoroki, you'll be up against me. Midoriya, you're paired with Bakugou, and your opponent is..." He paused as All Might stepped into view, causing a wave of shock to ripple through the crowd. The sight of All Might as an opponent is going to be a sight to see.
I found myself paired with Shoji, facing off against Snipe. This would definitely be an interesting matchup. Luckily, each teacher would have certain weights on them to even the playing field. We are in the 8th round, Shoji and I had some time to strategize. Run or fight? As these thoughts churned in my mind, Aizawa spoke again, "Todoroki, Iida, Midoriya, Sage, I'm sure the four of you will understand." I nodded in acknowledgment.
Hearing that Mei's designs were being used made me chuckle. She always knew exactly what to do. I walked over to Shoji with a smile, taking the lead. "Wanna watch and plan?" I suggested, chuckling. He nodded, and we settled at the back of the room as a screen popped up, showing Monoma and Kirishima in action. "I wonder what their plan is..." I mumbled, watching Monoma copy Kirishima's quirk. "How foolish..." I muttered, catching Shoji's attention.
