DEAR DIARY
"How did he get this way?" Midoriya's voice was strained, reflecting his concern for Tokoyami and the situation.
Shoji, his face etched with worry, whispered urgently, "Keep it down." His eyes flickered with a mix of frustration and determination as he began to recount the events that led to Tokoyami's current state. I listened intently, feeling a knot of guilt tighten in my stomach. I had no idea things had deteriorated so badly.
Shoji's voice was low but clear. "Tokoyami's quirk, Dark Shadow, becomes more uncontrollable the darker it gets. It's linked to his emotional state, and the more frightened or stressed he becomes, the stronger and more erratic Dark Shadow gets."
I nodded in understanding, my mind racing. "I didn't realise his quirk could explode like this," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. The gravity of the situation hit me hard. Tokoyami's power was a formidable force, but it was also dangerously unpredictable in these conditions.
Suddenly, I felt the ground shift beneath me as I stepped on a branch. I leaped backward just in time, narrowly avoiding Dark Shadow's sweeping attack. I quickly moved to Shoji's side, seeking cover behind a nearby tree. My heart pounded in my chest as I assessed the situation, trying to come up with a plan.
"I know these are strange circumstances," Shoji said, his voice resolute despite the fear gnawing at us. "But I can't leave a friend behind. You've already pushed yourself to the limit to get here and help Bakugou. If you still want to save him, I'll distract Dark Shadow for you. You need to run and get to him."
My eyes met Shoji's, as I nod, a mixture of gratitude and determination in his gaze. We took to the air, Shoji and I working in tandem as we fought against the encroaching darkness. Midoriya's voice rang out from behind us, "I see ice! They're fighting!"
Shoji called out to the others, his voice straining against the backdrop of chaos. "Bakugou! Todoroki! One of you, give us some light!" Shoji seized the opportunity, making a leap forward. In a stroke of luck, Dark Shadow's chaotic swipes managed to ensnare a nearby villain.
The air crackled with tension as I darted around, narrowly avoiding Dark Shadow's relentless attacks. My heart raced with panic, and I couldn't help but scream out, "And hurry up with it! Tokoyami needs help!" My voice was tinged with desperation as I fought to keep Dark Shadow's monstrous form at bay.
The chaotic whirlwind of Dark Shadow's rampage finally began to subside as Todoroki and Bakugou managed to subdue the creature. The sudden shift in the atmosphere left me momentarily disoriented. As the tension eased, I stumbled, losing my balance from the intense pace of the battle. I felt a sharp pain as I crashed into a nearby tree, the world around me spinning.
