Dear Diary

I opened my eyes, and the room flashed with a bright white light. I couldn't help but squint, disoriented and confused. What happened? "Where am I?" I muttered to myself, trying to force myself to sit up.

Before I could strain too much, Pixie Bob appeared at my side, her hand gentle on my shoulder. "It's okay, sweetheart. Just rest up," she soothed. I turned my head towards her, the blurriness of my vision gradually sharpening. As the figures in the room came into focus, I saw Pixie Bob, the Wild Wild Pussycats, Kota, Felix, Calix, and Rose all staring at me in shock.

"What happened?" I muttered again, the urgency in my voice clear as I struggled to piece together the events leading to this moment. Forcing myself to sit up, I took in the room around me, the sterile smell and beeping machines confirming I was in a hospital.

"You were out for like a week," Felix chimed in, his voice carrying a mix of relief and disbelief.

"A week?" I echoed, my mind reeling from the information. Memories of that day at the island came back to me.

"Yeah," Rose added, her voice tinged with concern. "You collapsed after the fight. Your injuries were really bad..." Kota stepped forward, his usually stoic face showing rare emotion. "We were worried about you," he said softly. "You pushed yourself too hard."

I smiled weakly, touched by their concern. "I had to," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "Everyone was counting on me." Pixie Bob nodded, her expression gentle. "And you did amazing, Sage. But now, you need to focus on healing. You gave everything you had, and now it's time to let us take care of you."

I looked around the room, taking in the worried yet relieved faces of my friends and mentors. Despite the pain and exhaustion, a sense of peace washed over me. We had won, and everyone was safe.

"Thank you," I whispered, feeling the weight of my ordeal slowly lifting. "Thank you for being here."

Felix grinned, his usual mischievous glint returning to his eyes. "Well, you better get used to it. We're not leaving your side until you're back on your feet." I laughed softly, wincing at the soreness in my body. "I guess I don't have a choice, do I?" "Nope," Calix said with a smile. "You're stuck with us."

I chuckled at their kindness. "Well, I must be able to get some time alone, man it was something." I looked down at my hands, turning them over, the memories of the battle flashing back. My gaze shifted to Mandalay, a look of confusion crossing my face. "Mandalay," I spoke up, making eye contact with her.
