This was such a happy moment for the three of us. We were seating in the passenger seat of one of Don's car with Suzy in between Rose and I.

“I'm so happy to see my new house. I still can't believe you got rich overnight.” Suzy said excited, although she still sounded weak and tired.

“I'm also happy to move in to a new house.” Rose turned to me. “Gosh girl, I'm so happy, thank you.”

“No, thank you for agreeing to stay with her while I'm in the stupid honeymoon.”

“Are you kidding? You'd be going to Australia. You've never been out of America, infact out of New York and you'd be going to a new country. If I were you, I'd be elated.”

I scoffed. “You don't understand.”

The car came to a halt in front of a very beautiful mansion. A bodyguard suddenly appeared from a corner, scurrying towards us to open the door.

I got out first, followed by Suzy then Rose.

“Wow.” Rose and Suzy's jaw dropped at the sight of the breath-taking mansion. It wasn't as huge as the one I lived in with Don, but it was obviously massive.

“Is this where I'd be living?” Suzy sauntered towards the door, and we followed her.

A bodyguard opened the door for her. She smiled at him. “Thank you.”

The three of us walked in. It was extremely beautiful. It had similar interiors to the one I lived in. The couches were cream colored and obviously expensive.

“Wow!” Rose screamed, running round the parlor. “This is amazing! It smells so nice.”

I chuckled, then turned to Suzy. Tears trembled on the brink of her lashes, turning my smile to worry.

I held both her shoulders, turning her to me. “What's wrong? Are you okay?”

Rose seemed to notice because she scurried her way to us. “What's up with you?” There was worry in her tone too.

Suzy sniffed in, stopping the tears from landing on her cheeks with the back of her palm. She gave me a small smile. “It's just— this is the life mom would have wanted us to live.”

She started sobbing and I found myself close to tears. When I turned to Rose, she was also crying. “My parents also wanted nothing but for me to live this life.”

With that, she wrapped us both in her arms and the three of us just cried in one another's arms.

***
It was late and I was just standing in the garden of the house I didn't know existed. I couldn't stop remembering what Suzy said.

She was right. Mom would have been so happy if she were to find out we're living a happy life.

“Are you alright?” Hane's voice interrupted my thoughts as I involuntarily turned to see her standing behind me. She was dressed in a purple pyjamas.

“Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine.” I forced a smile.

“Are you sure? You could always tell me if you have anything in mind.”

“I'm okay, seriously. You should go to bed.”

She yawned. “Okay then, I guess I'll leave you alone.” She turned around, then ambled out of sight.

I continued my thinking. I miss mom so much. I wish she could have lived to see me live a wealthy life. I would certainly have made sure she got the best things of life. She'd have everything she wanted.

I sighted Don walking towards me. He stopped when he was in front of me, staring at my stumped face.

“Why are you out here alone?” He asked, his voice still had that cold edge in it.

“Nothing, I just want to think. You don't have to worry about anything.”

“I think you should have a good night sleep since we'd be traveling tomorrow.”

“Yes, okay.” Maybe it was because of his presence or because I'd been thinking about my mom for a long time, I found tears rolling down my cheeks.

He stared at me in a mixture of bewilderment and worry. “Are you okay?”

“Yes, actually no.” I guess I couldn't keep it in my mind forever. The best way to relieve yourself from whatever's bothering you is to talk to someone, right?

“Today when I took Suzy to her new house, she'd said something that caught my heart.” I was trying to clean the tears with my fingers but they just wouldn't stop flowing.

“What did she say?”

“She had said that my mother would've been happy to see us live such a happy life and—and she's right, mom would've been so happy.” I faced the floor, so he won't have to see my tear-filled face.

There was silence for a few seconds like he was contemplating what to say. Instead of saying something, he wrapped his right hand around my ponytailed hair and the second round my back pulling me to rest my head on his chest where I sobbed on.

I could feel my tears soaking his shirt but they just wouldn't stop flowing. The feeling of his hand around my back sent sparks to that area.

His touch made a snake of desire run down my spine. My body felt hot at his touch. I wanted more than just the hug, I wanted to run my hand through his body.

I hated myself for feeling such desire but it came anyways.

I didn't even realize when I'd stopped crying until he'd removed his hand from my hair, placing it on my chin to raise my head upward to him.

Before I could say anything, he pressed his lips against mine.

Oh the pleasure, it made the snake transport from my spine down to my core. My whole body wanted more, it desired for more but I couldn't move, just allowed his mouth savour mine.

What is going on? What am I doing? Have I gone mad or something? I know nothing about this dude and I'm just kissing him like some crazy girl.

I gently pulled apart, staring at him with widened eyes.

I couldn't say anything, I was too surprised to talk. He just kissed me and I'd enjoyed it.

I quickly ran past him, running as fast as my legs could go towards the house.

What have I done? Gosh I'm so stupid.
