-Eri Jones-

I still needed to recover from the traumatizing experience from June.

I hadn't gone to work since then and I wasn't doing that till any news was bought to us by the police on June's whereabout.

The door opened with Don ambling in. A small smile on his face.

He hadn't gone to work today because I'd insisted I didn't want to be alone, though Hane was with me.

“What's up?” I asked, scrolling through my Instagram page, seeing different comments from people.

Apparently, the news about June hadn't escalated yet. Don had told the police to do their search in secret so as not to tarnish the Silvers image and affect their stocks.

He walked towards me, sitting on the bed beside me. “I just got a call from the police.”

With that, I jerked my head to his direction, eyes wide in interest. “And?”

He sighed, pursing his lips. “Apparently, they haven't found her.”

My heart dropped. “But…”

“There's a high possibility she's ran back to Dubai.”

That made me breath a sigh of relief. “She's in Dubai? How do they know?”

“Well, a June Silver checked in for a first class plane to Dubai last night.”

The thought of her being in Dubai made me feel more relaxed. “But she can come back at any time. Like she did before.”

He nodded once. “The police are still continuing their search. They've also contacted the Dubai police to start their search for her.”

My lips pulled to a relieved smile. “So does that mean she's no longer in our life?”

“Not yet, but soon.”

Thank goodness. Now I could actually live like a normal person. Now I could enjoy my marriage.

I wrapped both hands round his neck. “Why don't we celebrate that then my love.”

He pulled his lips to a lop-sided smile. “That sounds nice.” Then his hands found its way round my waist.

“Wow, that's great news.” Hane sounded truly happy. “June's presence had made me really worried.”

“I know right?” I shook my head a little dramatically, heaving a sigh. “Now that she's gone, I'm sure everything would be great.”

“She needs to go for a long therapy.” Hane continued her pacing back and forth her room. “She is a psychopath.”

I nodded in agreement. “You're right.” Sighing, I continued. “I just feel bad for her parents. I wonder who'd be the CEO of their company.”

“I guess that's the end of the Silvers.” She sounded truly sympathetic.

After a few seconds, she seemed to recall something. “Oh yeah, before I forget, are you still coming to Kate's wedding?”

“Duh, when's it?”

“Saturday.” She had stopped walking and was staring at me, a smile planted on her face.

“Saturday? This Saturday?”

She nodded. “Yeah. Didn't I tell you earlier?”

“No,” I shook my head, “no you didn't.”

She gasped a little. “Oh no I'm so sorry. Does that mean you're not coming?”

I creased my forehead, moving my head backwards a little. “Of course not, I'm still coming.”

“Well, I just want you to know, my sister's a little bit of the shy type and she's extremely introverted.” She paused, seeming hesitant to continue but did.

“She also doesn't like her parties to be filled with much drama or people she doesn't know.”

I made an ‘oh’ with my mouth. “So does that mean I shouldn't come?” I tried to not sound as disappointed as I felt, but I did anyways.

She shook her head excessively. “No!” Then calmed down. “I mean, you should come. We've been planning to go together and you can't stop at the last minute. Kate's really eager to meet you.”

“Whew, I thought you were going to stop me from coming, well I'll come.”

“No I'm not stopping you. All I'm saying is, we shouldn't make it obvious to the public, you're a member of the Jones family. She wouldn't be too pleased if her party is overtaken by you.”

I nooded in understanding. “Okay. I'd go anonymously.”

She chuckled. “You don't have to be anonymous, just don't be too known. Do you understand?”

“Yes ma'am.” I joked, earning a giggle from her.

“You're the ma'am, I'm just your maid.”

“Just my maid?” I furrowed my brows. “You're not just my maid. Imagine how boring life would be in this huge place if you hadn't come to my rescue.”

She smiled. “Thank you so much for everything you've done for me.”

“Oh don't bother about it. I've been in your shoes, I know how frustrating it can be when your boss is being too mean to you, always making you feel sad while you walk home.”

As I said it, the memory of all the times I'd been desperately in search of money to get food for me and Suzy, came back to my brain.

“Still, I'm grateful for everything you've done for me since I arrived. You're the best boss a female could ask for.”

“Awwn, my pleasure.”

She sauntered towards me, pulling me to a tight hug. “That's one of the reasons Kate loves you and wants to have a word with you.”

I hugged her back. “I'm also eager to see how your sister's like.”
