-Eri Sunville-

“Eri, why did you come? We just left your place yesterday, is everything alright?” Suzy asked, her tone in a mixture of surprise and concern.

“Can't I come see how my sister is doing.” I sauntered in, sitting on one of the sofas.

“You can, but I'm sure that's not why you're here.” Rose ambled in from a door I had no idea where it led.

She was right, I hadn't come to just greet them. When they'd come over yesterday, I didn't want to tell them about the kids yet because I just felt like Don could eavesdrop on our conversation, who knows.

They both sat on the sofa opposite me. “What's up? Start spilling it out.” Rose said.

I explained everything that happened with the kiss and how awkward it had been between the both of us since then.

They both had the widest smile on. “Oh my gosh, you've finally found the love of your life.” Rose scampered towards me, crouching beside me.

“What love, this has nothing to do with love.” I felt color rising to my cheeks.

“Awwn, I'm so happy for you.” Suzy said.

“Gosh, I mean it this has nothing to do with love.” I stood up, walking further from them, trying to hide my blushing face.

“I didn't know a day would come when you would be blushing at the thought of being in love.” I only realized Rose had followed me when I felt her hand round my shoulder, with her chin resting on my right shoulder.

“This has nothing to do with love.” I said it again, but this time it seemed like I was trying to convince myself.

Did I seriously feel anyhow for Don? It's not like it's a bad thing to like him? Maybe we could stop this marriage from being a contract thing to a thing of love.

The thought of it made my insides jump.

“Do you now agree to love him?” Rose asked teasingly but that was a question that needed more pondering on.

“I don't know, maybe or maybe not.” I said truthfully.

A knock came from my room door.

“Come in.” I'd expected to see Hane or maybe any other maid and was bemused to sight Don ambling in.

His sight made my heart flutter. I found myself dropping my phone beside me on the bed, standing up.

“Do you need anything D— Mr Jones.” I'd totally forgotten that was what I called him.

Even he seemed to have forgotten because he seemed confused at first, before breaking into a small smile.

“Please, call me Don.” Of course, that was expected if he liked me.

I scanned him, noticing how hot he looked in his white t-shirt that popped up his biceps and blue trouser.

“Are you heading somewhere?” I felt that was the best question to break the awkward silence.

He still had a heart-fluttering smile on. “Yes, get dressed, I want us to head somewhere.”

“We're going out?” I asked rhetorically. “Where?”

“No where specifically, I just want us to go out.”

I felt the color rise from my neck to my cheeks and hoped my hair could cover it up.

“Get dressed and meet me downstairs in ten minutes, okay?”

“Okay.”

He left the room, closing the door behind him.

I rushed to my closet, grabbed one of the most beautiful gowns I had.

Throwing the gown I had on, I wore the purple spaghetti handle mid-thigh length gown which was flare from the waist down till the end.

I only applied powder and lipstick then packed my hair in a neat ponytail.

Gosh, I hoped I looked pretty enough. Maybe I could figure out if I liked him enough to spend the rest of my life with him or not through this outing.

I left my room, sauntering to the parlor where handsome Don stood waiting for me.

When he sighted me walking towards him, a smile appeared on his lips. “You look beautiful.” He said when we were standing side by side.

“Thank you.” I couldn't help blushing.

***
The day had gone well for the both of us. First of all, we had gone to a restaurant where we ate and talked about lots of things, then we went to a cinema to watch a romantic movie.

Don had booked the cinema for the both of us alone which made it even more romantic as we sat side by side and just watched.

He had said he didn't like watching movies but did it because he was sure I'd like it which made my heart flutter even more.

Later, we went on a long walk and talked most of the way.

Then Don took me to a very tall building, I wondered why we were there but he said the fun of the building was the rooftop and we both went to the rooftop.

I was scared at first when he said we should sit at the edge and watch the view of everywhere from it, but then he assured me I'd be alright.

Now there we sat, just staring at the view of other houses from the rooftop.

“Thank you so much for today.” I said, kicking the air with my leg.

“It's alright, I just hoped you enjoyed yourself.”

“Of course I did.” Without a second thought, I rested my head on his shoulder. It felt like the right thing to do, like my head actually belonged there.

I wasn't sure what his reaction was to that but he didn't say anything.

“Is this your first time coming here?” I asked, my voice coming out lower than normal. “Because this is my first time.”

“No, I've come here with my mom lots of times when I was younger.”

“Only your mom?” I felt shiver run down my spine when his hand found its way round my waist.

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because I only come here with people that are special to me.”

It took my brain a few seconds to process what he meant. If he only brought special people here and he brought me here, that must mean I'm a special person to him.

I rose my head to stare at him. In the night light, our gaze locked.

I knew what was going to happen next and I wasn't going to stop it from happening.

I stared at those lips of his that were coming closer to mine, then closed my eyes.

As soon as our lips met, sending an electrifying feeling to me, I realized I actually like this guy and yes I do want to live the rest of my life with him.
