“Wow look who's finally decided to come out of hiding.” Violin didn't hide the sarcasm in her tone which only earned an eye roll from me.
I mean what was her deal with me. Either way, I wasn't going to let it affect me.
Leila looked pale, she was probably nervous. She shambled towards me, looking like a woman caught slealing from the president.
When she was standing at a comfortable gap in front of me, she held my hand in hers, her eyes watery.
I turned to Don, indicating he gave me a sign of what to do in such situation but he looked equally as sad as she did.
“Listen dear,” she started, her voice coming out very low, “I know you probably hate me for what I did but trust me when I say I didn't mean to be so mean to Catherine.”
She sniffed in, probably fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. “When I found out she died, I was so devastated. I used to blame myself for it, I hated the fact I didn't give her the money earlier.”
I was just staring at her. Now seeing her, I realized she actually had a similar look to how she was thirteen years ago. Just a little chubbier now.
“I don't know if you'll ever forgive me, but I really really apologize.” Her eyes pleaded for me to forgive her.
“I really don't have a problem with you.” And that was true.
Although she didn't give my mom the money that day, she'd given her money lots of time for two years, though it was posing a threat to her marriage.
Now thinking about it, she was actually why mom hadn't died earlier. She was an angel in disguise.
“Really?” The guilt she possessed was evident in her face.
I couldn't just stand there and let her feel it was all her fault. I had no other idea of what to do, so I went with my only option.
Releasing my hand from hers, replacing it round her back, I pulled her to a warm hug.
“It's okay. My mom loved you till the end, you're a very special person to us.” I said into her shoulder.
“Thank you.”
We pulled apart when Suzy and Rose walked in, Darien following behind them.
“Hey Eri, I'm so glad you're back.” Darien headed towards me, pulling me to a brief hug.
“So am I.”
“This dude was about to kill himself because of your absence.” He shook his head a little. “He wasn't eating a thing, neither was he sleeping.”
“He was just being dramatic.” Violin added, earning a glare and chuckle from Don and Darien respectively.
“I don't understand why you're here.” Don snorted.
Suzy ambled towards me, giving me a brief hug also. “You finally decided to make the smart decision, huh?”
Darien stared from her to Rose, then to me, back to Rose who seemed to be blushing under his gaze. “You two knew?”
She stared at him, awkwardly locking their gaze which they didn't seem to notice was awkward. “Actually, she made us promise not to tell, I didn't mean to keep it from you.”
I guessed she didn't realize she wasn't supposed to direct it to him, she was supposed to say from everyone.
“Oh, okay.” They stayed in that position for another two really awkward seconds.
“Okay…” Leila probably tried to break the awkward silence that followed. “June came over to my place.”
With that, everyone snapped their attention to her. “What?! Why?!” Don's fist were clenched and brows pulled to a deep frown.
Leila looked confuzzled. “Well… she just wanted to greet me, see how I'm doing.”
“That bitch.” It was just a thought, I didn't realize when it came out.
“Why? She's of more class than you ever will be.” Violin pitched in, but I chose to ignore it. I had no time to argue.
“Did she say anything else?” I asked instead.
“Um… she also wanted to know if Eri was still leaving after the contract was over.”
I furrowed my brows. “This girl has got some problems.”
Leila had a raised brow, expressing her puzzled self. “Why? Did she do something?”
I sighed. “Yeah, it's a long story.” And it really was a long story.

“You're not going to work anytime soon.” I paced to his closet, picking out a blue blanket from it. “You need to rest.”“I need to go. This time for my company isn't the time to rest.” He said, from where he sat on the bed.
“No, you're not going.”
“You know, making the company a trillion dollar company requires a lot of work.” He continued. “And perhaps, I haven't gone to work for more than a week because of your absence, I need to go today.”
“You're not going till you feel better and that's final.” I ordered in a stern tone.
“Cover yourself with this and get some rest.” I threw the blanket on the bed. “Good night.”
I ambulated towards the door, stopping and flinching when I felt his hands wrap around my waist.
“What are you doing? Go to sleep.” How just that simple touch could make me lose my sanity.
He placed his lips on my neck, coating my skin with goosebumps. “Why are you leaving?” He whispered to my neck.
“What?” The feeling made shivers of pleasure down my spine.
“Can't we stay in the same room forever? We are a married couple that love each other.” He kissed my neck, pivoting me to face him.
He was right. We were a married couple and we might just live the rest of our lives that way so what was the use of using separate rooms.
“Can I ask you something?” I whispered, staring into those dark blue eyes.
“Sure.” Our face was so close to each other, it'd touch if we moved an inch more.
“After the two years contract, do I still have to leave?” That question had been in my head for a while and I needed to ask.
His stare spoke love only. “Do you want to leave?”
Gently, I shook my head once. “No, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“Then so be it.” He pressed his lips against mine for a second or two. “So are we sharing rooms?”
With a nod, I pushed my lips to his. I loved this man with everything in me.
