-Rose Dern-

Stretching on the very soft and comfortable bed, I sat straight on the bed.

It had been two weeks in Canada and I hadn't found a reason to regret my decision.

Darien hadn't made any move on me yet, which I was comfortable and glad about.

We mostly ate, talked and worked.

We'd also not met his family yet, but we were supposed to go today and truth be told, I was really nervous.

I went to the bathroom in my room, took a shower and brushed my teeth, then came out with a towel wrapped around me.

I reached for my suitcase that lay beside my bed. Opening it, I began selecting clothes.

I needed to look beautiful to meet Darien's parents. I couldn't just go looking whack, they might just throw me out as they were obviously rich and probably wanted their son's girlfriend to be the same.

Finally, after about ten minutes I decided to put on the flare red off-shoulder knee length gown.

I sat on the chair in front of the mirror, picking up the brush on the small table in front of me. I brushed my hair as neatly as I'd ever done.

Then I applied a little makeup so as not to look too desperate for their love.

The knock on the room door had startled me, causing my heart to beat faster than normal.

I took in a few deep breaths before rising from the chair, shambling to the door and opening it.

“Morning.” Darien's handsome figure appeared in front of me.

Staring at him, I suddenly felt overdressed. He was dressed in a casual t-shirt and pants.

He slowly did a not so obvious observation of my dressing from head to toe, causing the color to appear in my cheeks.

“Are we going now?” I suddenly felt like leaving all this and running back to Canada.

I wasn't in for parent meetings. What if they didn't like me? What if they left a scar in the lovely relationship I had with Darien.

His right hand found mine, covering it. “You look very beautiful. I'm afraid all the men would be drooling over you.”

He said it so softly and sincerely, my cheeks became hotter. I chuckled softly. “I doubt that but thanks anyways.”

“Although I'd be there to stop their gawking heads.” There was an edge to his voice which I assumed to be jealousy.

“Are we leaving now?” I asked again.

He smiled. “Why don't we have breakfast first, get some work done then we'd take our leave.”

I nodded, watching him move sideways, leading me to where our food was probably served.

The twitchy feeling hadn't left me through the whole drive, though Darien continuously told me not to worry and that his parents weren't going to devour me.

My nervous feeling worsened when the car came to a halt in front of a huge mansion. It was really beautiful and I suddenly felt really low class.

Darien got down from the car, walking round it to open the door for me which I came out of with a small “thanks”.

He held my hand, walking us both towards the really beautiful place.

Each step I took closer to the house made me feel even more nervous. My nerves hit the bottom when he opened the door of the house and we both sauntered into where I assumed to be the parlor.
