-Don Jones-

I stretched my arms to the air, yawning and sitting straight on the bed.

I was surprised when I checked the time on the wall clock. It was 9p.m, well thank goodness today was Saturday so I could rest all day.

The door opened, and without any surprise, Eri ambled in. She looked stunning in the purple spaghetti handle shirt she wore and grey miniskirt. She was also holding a purple purse.

“Good morning my love.” She sauntered towards me, sitting on the bed beside me and planting a kiss on my cheeks.

“You look beautiful, are you heading somewhere?” I asked.

She had a smile on.

I loved having to see her first thing in the morning. Her presence was like a gift to me and I just wanted every other day to be filled with happiness.

“Yes, today's Suzy's appointment with the doctor for radiation therapy.” She dramatically swiped no sweat off her forehead. “Finally she's going to be completely healed and there'd be no need for stress or other things.”

“I'm happy for you. Will you stay long?”

He smile grew wider. “Why? Will you miss me?”

“Of course I would, I'm not going to work today and everywhere’d be boring without you.”

That was not a lie. Since she'd come to my life, I couldn't imagine staying alone for a long time because the house suddenly felt empty without her.

“Well I might spend some time there, you know Suzy doesn't like staying in the hospital alone.” She looked thoughtful for a moment.

“Okay then, have fun my love.” I tugged her hair behind her ear to plant a kiss on the ear earning a giggle from her.

“Your breakfast's on the table, you should eat it all.”

“Sure thing.” I stood up and she followed.

She hugged me from behind. “And try not to miss me too much handsome.”

I pivoted, wrapping my arms round her waist, staring at those beautiful hazel colored eyes of hers.

“That'd be difficult you know.” I pressed my lips against hers and she kissed back.

The house had no doubt been boring since Eri left with Hane (not that Hane's presence mattered).

Mr Sal had called me earlier to let me know that there were still some work that needed completion, so I was in my office doing whatever needed to be done on my laptop.

My phone vibrated, indicating I had a message. When I checked what it was, it was from Eri letting me know they'd arrived at the hospital.

I couldn't help but smile, she was such a cute person and I loved her so much. I had no idea how I fell in love with her, but I was happy I did and there was nothing that could drift us apart.

The knock from the door had interrupted my thoughts.

“Come in.” I dropped my phone back on the desk, focusing on the work I needed to complete on my laptop.

The door opened and though I didn't see who walked in, I was sure it was going to be a maid.

“Miss Silver is waiting for you in the first parlor.”

Just the sound of her name made me pull my brows together in a frown.

Why is she here? What exactly does she want? She really doesn't like to give up, does she?

I stood up from my desk, ambulating out of my room to the first parlor where June was sitting comfortably on one of the chairs.

She smiled when she sighted me but I obviously did not return in, strutting to one of the chairs and sitting on it.

“Why are you here?” I didn't bother to hide the fact I didn't want her presence in this place.

“Can't I come over to greet my best friend?” Her smile spoke her intention.

“I don't want you coming to my house again, my wife doesn't feel comfortable with your presence.” That made her smile fall.

She clutched her dress tightly like she was trying to suppress her anger. “Well, I'm here to talk to you about your wife.”

“Eri?” I was now interested. Anything relating to her was my business because I loved her too much.

Her lips were pulled to a smirk. “The main reason I came back from Dubai was because I found out some news while in Dubai.”

“Stop beating around the bush and tell me what fucking thing you've got to say or leave my house.” My tone had come out stern but not loud and anger-filled.

She chuckled lightly which only infuriated me further, I felt like throwing her out of my house, but I was also very curious to know what she had to say.

“When I heard you got married to Eri, I did some research about her, you know just to ensure your safety. I then found out that she's an orphan, her dad died when she was four and her mom when she was twelve.”

“So?”

Her brows were pulled to a frown now. “That was thirteen years ago Don. I decided to continue my research.”

It annoyed me to think of her doing research on Eri but I was too curious to know what she had to say so I didn't say anything yet.

“And then I came across a very beautiful photo of her mom.” She reached for her purse, pulling out a photo from it.

She handed the photo to me with a victory smile on her face.

I was confused at first, but when I took the photo from her and stared at the woman in the photo, my heart started racing faster.

“No.” I didn't even know when that came out of my lips.

“Yes Don, Eri's mother is Catherine.” That couldn't be true, no it must not be true.

“What are you saying?” My voice came out just above a whisper.

“That you killed your wife's mother, Kelvin Jones.” No!
