-Don Jones-
The force she used to push me was enough to make me fall, landing on my butt but I was not going to embarrass myself, so I quickly gained my composure before I landed on the floor.
“I have to leave now.” She scurried out of the room without a backward glance.
What was that? When things were starting to get fun, she just had stop it. Was she regretting it or something? Did she not like the kiss?
I went to my closet, removing my underwear and singlet from it. I went to close the door, before throwing the towel off my waist, wearing my underwear and singlet.
I went to the bed, laying on it.
I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. Since Darien had made me realize I had feelings for her, I'd been wondering how it'd feel to have an affectionate kiss with her.
This kiss was enough to make me have a good night sleep. And the fact that she started it with that peck made me chuffed. I didn't make her do it, she did it from her own will.
Even though I wasn't sure how I fell in love with her so soon, I was certainly very happy to have her. Maybe we could live a happy life together and forever.

“She kissed you first? Are you sure?” Darien didn't want to believe me.“I'm serious, she thanked me for the CPR and gave me a peck, I was more than surprised but then I knew this was probably going to be my only chance to kiss her so I pulled her back before she left and kissed her.” I felt like a teenage boy talking about his first crush.
Darien squinted his eyes at me like he still didn't believe, but then he drew his lips to a smile. “Well I'm happy for you then, this is my first time seeing you in love. It's weird.”
“It's weird for me too you know, but I like it, the feeling, I love it.”
A female I was sure was his maid walked in with a traveller's bag. “I've packed everything Mr Stan.”
She didn't bow, Darien didn't care if his workers showed him extra respect like I did.
“Thank you, give it to a bodyguard to keep in the car for me.” He ordered with a smile.
“Ok sir.” She took it and left our sight.
I furrowed my brows. “Are you heading somewhere?”
“Yep, I'm going back to America. My business here is complete, I need to find my love life. You have yours and I'm still single even though I had my first kiss before you.” He pulled his brows in a pretend frown.
“Well, since you're leaving I guess I should get going too.”
He rose an eyebrow. “Why? You don't want to stay with Eri alone?”
I shook my head. “I don't think she'd feel comfortable staying with me for another 2 weeks, she seemed annoyed at herself for the kiss yesterday.”
I wasn't stupid to not notice her change in behavior this morning. She seemed to regret her actions so much, she didn't even say a word to me till I left for Darien's.
“So what do you plan on doing when you get home?” He was doing something on his phone, which I didn't care to know.
“Well, I'll leave her till she gets comfortable towards me again.” That was true, I wasn't going to force anything on her.
He stared at me with a shake of head, then back to his phone.
“What?” I furrowed my brows.
“What if she never gets comfortable.” He said matter-of-factly.
“I can't force her to get comfortable.”
“So you're just going to leave her alone.” He still had his focus on whatever was on the phone.
“Just tell me if you have something to say.” I had no time for his beating around the bush.
“I think you should tell her how you feel.”
That was not like me. I wasn't a man who expressed my emotions. I was only free to Darien because we'd been best friends for so many years and we even became ‘business buddies' as he would say.
He rose his head from the phone, obviously trying to read my expression.
“It won't hurt you to do so, you know.” He sighed. “I'm happy you heeded to my advise to try being nice to her and have a change of behavior but if you don't tell her how you feel, she may never know or agree to feel the same way.”
Maybe he was right. From the kiss, I was sure she felt a tiny bit of attraction towards me even though she might not agree to it, but the only way she can actually think about it is if I let her know how I feel.
“I'll give it a try then.”
Darien smiled. “That's good, now just make sure you don't overwork her and you must let her know.”
“I'll let her know when we get to America.” The thought of it made my heart flutter a little.
I wondered what her reply would be. Would she agree or not? Would she think it was too soon. Was it too soon to fall in love with someone within a period of 3 months?
“When are you going?” He asked.
“I'd go tomorrow, how about you?”
“I'm going tonight.”
“Oh, that's alright.”
So I was finally going to admit to Eri that I liked her, that'd be nice.
My phone vibrated. I picked it up from beside me. It was a message from my mom.
‘When are you coming back?’
I wondered why she cared but I texted back. 'Tomorrow, why?’
Her reply was almost immediately. ‘I want to come over to your place next tomorrow evening to have dinner with you and Eri. Violin would be coming too.’
I rolled my eyes though she couldn't see me, why did Violin have to follow? 'Yeah, whatever'
Now I should let Eri know we'd be going back tomorrow. Gosh I was slightly nervous to know I'd be for the first time confessing my love to someone, maybe I should make it romantic or something.
I remembered the drowning situation. I had reported to the police and they had assured me that they'd start the investigation and would catch the culprit soon.
