Sunday Morning Short Prayer
Good Sunday Morning, Lord, this is the day You have made and I will rejoice in it. As the first day of the week today is especially blessed to me as the day You rose from the dead after dying on the cross for my sins, with great joy, I anticipate joining with angels, archangels, and saints around the world and those in heaven who are evermore praising You and saying, "Holy, holy, holy Lord God of Power and might." Keep me mindful that the words, "Given and shed for you" show that forgiveness of my sins is delivered to me. Through Your Word empower me in the coming week to help everyone You put in my life to know You better in Jesus' name amen.Prayer 93
Sunday Evening Prayer
Living Lord Jesus, You appeared in a locked room in the evening of the day that You rose from the dead. You spoke one word-"peace" —to the frightened disciples. That one word had behind it the authority of historic fact. You bore, and still bear, the wounds on Your body that signify that You died by crucifixion for our sins. Then You stood, completely alive. Those disciples were to speak peace to their world. Speak peace to me now so that I may rest this night and rise to speak Your peace to all You send into my life this week amen.
