Prayer 310: Dear God, please help me embrace what You've given me and live a life worthy of Your calling in Jesus name amen I pray.
Read 1st Samuel 30–31 and Luke 13:23–35.
Read Ephesians 4:1–7 & Verses 11–16.
I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Ephesians 4:1.Ready To Go For God
The book Hidden Figures recounts preparations for John Glenn's flight into space. Computers were newfangled inventions in 1962, subject to glitches. Glenn didn't trust them and worried about calculations for the launch. He knew one brainy woman in the back room could run the numbers. He trusted her. "If she says the numbers are good," Glenn said, "I'm ready to go." Katherine Johnson was a teacher and mother of three. She loved Jesus and served in her church. God had blessed Katherine with a remarkable mind. NASA tapped her in the late 1950s to help with the space program. She was Glenn's "brainy woman," one of the "human computers" they hired at the time.
We may not be called to be brilliant mathematicians, but God calls us to other things: "To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it" (EPHESIANS 4:7). We're to "live a life worthy of the calling" we've received (V. 1). We're part of one body, in which "each part does its work" (V. 16).
Katherine Johnson's calculations confirmed the course trajec-tory. Glenn's launch into orbit was like "hitting a bull's-eye." But this was just one of Katherine's callings. Remember, she was called also to be a mother, teacher, and church worker. (Dream big according to God's purposely and we have the potential to achieve more than one dream living for God on this current Earth while we wait for Jesus' return. God has a dream for each one of us and that dream can involve multiple stepping stones blessings in disguise as multiple callings to His work and word so that we may glorify Him eternally for ever after. Lumna10,) We might ask ourselves what God has called us to, whether big or small. Are we "ready to go" exercising the grace–the gifts He's bestowed living "a life worthy of [our] calling. (V. 1)? –Kenneth Peterson. What has God called you to do?
Show how much I love God by taking care of animals beloved by friends and even not so well known people who ask for mg help. Helping my sister in-law a faithful sister in Christ teach her daughters about the Bible by finding the right truthful and very righteous materials that will lead them on the right path. And in some cases even reteaching my own Christian Father about his misunderstanding of the Bible.
How has He gifted you? I've always felt secure even when I'm scared. The blazing fire of the Holy Spirit is an enflaming shield that circles my body and protects me from the outside world's muckiness, mire and ungodly whispers of the deceitful enemy and because I believe and my family that I treasure I give into His protection He always protects them through everything to come forevermore. He's done it more than once and He'll keep doing it. As it is written in the bible those of the believing sanctify the unbelieving of their own personal home.
"'Believe in the Lord Christ and thou shalt be saved; thou and thy house." Acts 16:31. And just like this was true for the Roman Jailer it has been true for my entire family no matter how far apart we may be from each other we keep each other's protection in our heart and even my oldest sister who has been led a bit astray is not without my Lord's protective hand nor is my other sister in-law who is the mother of two sons one who I know loves to giggle like his Father use to when he was a child is also under the Lord's protection. There were times before the new baby was even realized when my nephew Jack has no idea God was protecting him and his parents through tornado warnings.
The trip to Ohio before our last two trips as we were coming up and passing through West Virginia my phone picked up the tornado warnings in West Virginia and in Southern Ohio and my sister in-law was able to prepare us by checking if it was coming near her county. It was. The Love both my sister in-laws have is precious beyond compare. They have always been sweet to me and my last sister who is five years older than me. These are blessed gifts and miracles I receive consistently in the faith to the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah thank You God my family is the treasure I put above in Heaven with You. I know they are consistently protected in Your hands. –Lumna10.
