Prayer 260: Lord Jesus stay with me amen.
Read John 11:17–44 and Psalm 56:8–13.
Jesus wept. John 11:35.Tears
I avoided crying when I was a kid. Most of my tears had to do with my falling and scraping something, but I was embarrassed to show weakness and pain. I believed that if I didn't cry when I got hurt, it meant I was strong and tough! Who wouldn't want to be cool like that?!.–Anonymous' First Part of the Message. Not me, Anonymous person; I hate being labeled as cool. It is so status quo esque. And I do not and will blend straight into the flow of the world. –Lumna10.
Jesus wouldn't.
The shortest verse in the Bible tells us so much about Jesus. When He saw Lazarus's sisters mourning over their brother's death, Jesus was moved to tears. He wept over their sorrow, their anguish. Jesus knew He would bring Lazarus back to life, healing the hurt of these people. Yet even with the power to restore all things, He was troubled by the sadness of those around Him, and He took a moment to cry over what was lost. Our Savior does not just act for His people-He feels for us too.. Anonymous.
(Jesus gained feelings so he could sympathize and empathize with the people of His Father he was sent to save amongst the loss. This is part of what the Son of Man had to do with the human body. So when a pastor says You have a very close friend up above you who suffered through all the painful and sweet emotions you've went through be rest assured in no way are they lying about Jesus. They are telling the truth Jesus that Jesus did mean and suffer through human emotions while on earth or the Bible of the Gospel part would not have counted how many times he was seen or recorded weeping.Have you ever felt like a rainy day makes you cry? Sometimes I do because I believe the rain is one of the ways God clears out the air of ugly tension between two or more people, Skylights and I also believe that if it's raining the raindrops' might as well be God's tears for someone He deeply cherishes and loves when they hurt Him knowingly or unknowingly through sinning.
Jesus proves also that human emotions and feelings can be controlled in an honorably way too. Even at the temple when the money changers were defiling it he did lash out but He turnt the tables upside down but did not hurt any of the people in there because had self control over his anger. In order for us to control our emotions and feelings that dwell in our human body we need to call upon the shielding power of the Holy Spirit. I hate it when people even Christians' say, "Oh feelings are so uncontrollable!" No they are not. People who say that do not acknowledge the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in them. And you know what Jesus wasn't just born of the Holy Spirit he utilized him on His walk on earth amongst our ancestors in His time.
Luke 10:21 "In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight."
Luke 10:21 KJV
"At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do."
Luke 10:21 NIVPs. I don't care who you are but this verse literally proves the three persons of one God is quite legit. Now I know the verse to lead others to Christ and God the Father is written down by Luke his disciple. Jesus did have feelings and He did learn to control them with the powerful help from His Father's aid through the Holy Spirit who had been with Jesus from the moment He was born to the moment He rose from the dead. And Disciple Luke was able to realize it was the third person of God with Jesus all this time. The Holy Spirit is the person of God who can be in two places at once with you and with Your Father up above in Heaven and it is why His effect on you is immense and vast too.
Whoever says feelings can't be controlled or resisted
is 1. Being tempted and deceived by the Devil and his demons.
2. A Shallow faith believing Christian who fell for the Devil's oversaturated lying games.
3. Atheist who has been blinded by worldly evidence and also the deceit of the Devil.
