"What did you say?" As if what I said was that shocking, Gaia's previous attitude suddenly went from cheerful to serious in a span of seconds.
Even though I felt confused by her reaction, I still sucked in a deep breath to compose myself, before looking at both of them with confidence and determination, "I-I said let me join."
Their eyes were wide, and they both seemed skeptical for some reason. My hybrid looked like she couldn't believe what I said, whilst my demigoddess appeared to be reluctant. However, as I stood there, waiting for any sort of response, my mates shared a look with each other before Gaia stood up, her eyes looking down at me as she took a step forward. I didn't know why, but there was something about her look that unnerved me, and it made me step backwards.
Gaia took notice of my action and sighed, her eyes visibly disappointed as she stated, "See? You're not ready, Willow."
I furrowed my brows, "N-Not ready? D-Do you n-not realize how s-stupid you sound?" I was becoming slightly irritated at how they were treating me. They looked at me like I was an innocent child! I was everything but innocent!
Gaia raised a brow, "What did you call me?" I tensed as her voice got lower, and her eyes turned darker. She crossed her arms and took another step forward, her taller height towering over me. Okay, not going to lie, she was acting extremely intimidating for some reason, and I didn't want to admit it was working, but it was, and I'm kind of scared.. no! If I back down now, she'll think I'm not serious, that I don't have the guts, I have to stand my ground!
"I said-"
"Please! Just.. just give me some life sources." Mallory abruptly cut me off, groaning as she threw her head back on the pillow.
"I'm only protecting you, little one." Gaia whispered, her eyes roaming my face before turning around and walking over to our groaning mate.
I did not understand what she said, not at all. She said she was protecting me, but from who exactly? Them? My own mates? Gaia felt the need to protect me from them? Did that not sound crazy? Because I thought it absolutely did. I've explored many wonders of.. such intimacy, and I've had plenty of experiences. Multiple different women have bowed before me, begging me to get in bed with them, and yet my mates were telling me to do the opposite? That sounded like a joke, and it better be a fucking joke, because there was no way that Gaia expected me to listen to her and just stand here, there's just no way.
I did not even care about how I saw my body anymore. Tainted or not, I wasn't going to sit here and just watch my Mallory in pain, I wanted to help too, and I was sure that if I joined, our mate would heal faster.. ugh... Forget whatever the hell Gaia said, I'm giving our mate my life sources!
Without a word, I approached the bed with my head held high and stated, "Gaia, Mallory, I-I.. I think you t-two are underestimating me t-too much, so I've deci-"
I yelped loudly as hands grabbed my waist and roughly threw me onto the bed. In the speed of light, Mallory was already pinning my hands above my head as she hovered over me. Without saying anything, her other hand immediately went under my shirt, groping my breast and squeezing it, making me let out a small moan.
Beside me, I could hear Gaia chuckling mockingly, "I told you, and you didn't listen..." She then leaned down to my level and whispered in my ear, "Even I can't control Mal when she's sick."
