As soon as we arrived in Vaye's castle, I noticed Mallory's body language seemed more relaxed. Being in the underworld really did make her uncomfortable.. I completely understood why, and I hoped we never had to step foot in there ever again, for Mallory's sake. Even if we did have to go there, either Gaia or I will go alone, I won't let Mallory go to hell anymore. Fortunately, after everything with Stefan gets settled, we won't have much reason to venture in there anymore, unless Weiss orders me to attend another meeting in her place, but if not then hell won't be seeing the three of us any time soon. I honestly cannot wait for that day to come though.. for Mallory to finally be able to breathe without any worries and for her to finally live, literally.
We haven't found Stefan yet but we were making some good progress, I'd even say we were halfway there. We only need to talk to Lucilia and I guarantee we'll be able to gather Stefan's whereabouts. I just knew everything would be easy, I mean we had a demigoddess on our side, and the queens? They happened to be investigating Stefan as well and that just made this so much easier. I had no doubt we'll be able to finish him in no time, I'm confident we will. Perhaps I was right when I said that the rogue demon and his revolution were just wannabes. That incubus and his revolution will not stand a chance against us, not even a little bit.
Just imagine, a puny revolution against what, a demigoddess? And that wasn't even counting my sister and Vaye, hell, perhaps even I wouldn't have to lift a finger. It was as if we'll be taking a walk in the park, that's how I saw it and that's how I knew everything was going to happen. Mallory didn't have to wait for long after all, she'll have her father's blood in no time.
As we neared Vaye's office, I couldn't help but groan loudly as I almost immediately recognized the familiar scent of my sister and her stupid mate. I honestly hoped we could talk to Vaye and Weiss separately.. so we would have more time preparing for our impending conversation with my sister but it seemed that fate said otherwise. As for Sapphire's scent, I honestly didn't care, she's rather chill. "Weiss is here."
Gaia chuckled, "She's not the only one here, I can sense Pearl and Eva as well. Oh and be careful not to look at Pearl too much, little one, or I might get jealous." Of course she had to bring that up.
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."
"Pearl? The queen of werewolves?" Mallory asked, furrowing her brows in confusion.
I sighed, "Yes, it's nothi-"
"Our little one, here, had a crush on Pearl, to the point that she had a fight with Eva, Pearl's mate." Gaia explained, laughing as I gave her a fierce glare. "I had to intervene before their fight got worse."
Mallory raised a brow at me, "Is this true?" Ashamed, I hid my face behind my hair and nodded.
"How interesting." She simply said with no expression as we continued walking towards the office. Mallory didn't say anything more after that whilst the imbecile Gaia only kept laughing at me. I rolled my eyes and ignored her.
Once we've reached the door, I had to mentally prepare myself first before knocking. However, before I could knock, the door opened and revealed Sapphire who was giving me a look that said I'm fucked. As soon as her chocolate brown eyes met mine, I just knew. I took a step back to turn around and run away forever but my back only managed to bump into Gaia.
"Woah there, little one."
Sapphire snickered, "Little one? That's new, I thought Gaia would've called you Mistress or Mommy or something." Oh Sapphire, you fucking bitch, that's what I thought as well but no, my mates just refused to submit.
I felt my cheeks heat up from Sapphire's teasing. Embarrassed, I cleared my throat and stated, "She's not referring to me-"
"Oh, she loves it, she gets all shy and adorable whenever we call her little one. I can't even imagine calling her anything but little one anymore." Gaia cut me off, laughing at me once more.
