Even though we agreed that the three of us would go to hell and talk to Lucifer first, I was kind of curious about the woman the vampire mentioned. Although there wasn't much said about her, I felt like she knew more about Mallory's father than Mallory did, perhaps that woman even knew the whereabouts of Stefan. But then again, we didn't have any concrete leads about her, not even her name, or a description of her appearance. Thus if we were to focus on her instead, we would have more trouble.
Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it.. that woman was probably nothing more but an acquaintance. I should just focus on the matter at hand.
The matter at hand.. was that I initially thought Gaia would bring us straight to hell so we could finally find Mallory's father quicker. But, as always, it seemed like she had a different idea as she took us back to her mountain instead. Why? I had no idea and Mallory looked like she didn't know why either.
"Why are we at your mountain and not in hell?"
I nodded, agreeing with Mallory, "We don't exactly have anything to do here." It was true, Gaia's mountain was just.. well, a mountain with furniture in it. There was no library which I found to be unfortunate, and there were no electronic devices either. Besides the lake at the foot of her mountain, this was a rather dull living arrangement. If it had a library.. then maybe I'll be able to see myself living here.
Gaia shrugged, "Well.. I just thought we all had a long day, especially the two of you."
"Long day? It's literally midnight."
"Yes, and I can tell Willow hasn't slept for two days now." Gaia stated as her eyes analyzed me from head to toe.
"So? It's nothing new, I'm used to it." It really wasn't anything to be concerned about. Witches can stand days without sleeping, it's not a big deal.
Gaia shook her head, "I'm just saying, I think we should make a plan first before we do anything.. and that the two of you should also get plenty of rest before we venture into hell."
"I've no time for thi-"
"You always have no time for anything, Mallory, but think about it. Judging by what you've told us before, I take it the demons are not fond of you?" Gaia walked towards Mallory and looked at her in the eyes. Since the two weren't so far apart in height, they were able to look at each other easily.. unlike little old me. Maybe I should really consider a height growth spell.
The two got into another staring contest which made me roll my eyes. "Nothing's going to happen if both of you keep staring."
Mallory finally took a step back and sighed, "Yes, they think I'm a weakling, an abomination."
I expected this from the demons. After all, they were prideful creatures, and to see their kind being associated with the lowest being of all, I'm positive it hurt their prides and egos. The demons saw no kind as their equal, not even angels. They've always considered themselves to be the highest of the high, thus I can see why they'd see Mallory in a negative light. I'm grateful Lucifer gave her to me before any demon could've done real damage to her.
"Then walking straight into hell is a bad idea, especially when the two of you aren't in your best conditions." Gaia stated, crossing her arms as she shook her head at us.
I rolled my eyes, "What are you? My mother?"
Gaia squinted her eyes at me and warned, "Don't go there, little one, you're not prepared for what will come." I opened my mouth to mock her but immediately chose not to when I recognized the dark look in her eyes. I then cleared my throat and looked away from her. I've had sex plenty of times before.. I'd recognize that lustful yet strict look everywhere.. after all, I used to have that same crazy glint in my eyes, until these two came and shattered that.
