T.W. Violence, Sexual Harassment ⚠️
For those uncomfortable with acts of violence and sexual harassment, you can skip this chapter until the author's note at the end, where I will be providing a safe but brief summary of this event.•~•~•~•
"Why are you so tense? Relax, princess."
She winked at me before pulling away and suddenly laughing like a maniac. I narrowed my eyes at her as she continued to laugh, to the point of throwing her head back, and clutching her stomach.
I tried my best to stay calm as I watched her like a hawk. My heart was racing against my chest, and my palms were starting to get sweaty, yet I kept my chin up, and my expression stoic. If this bitch knew I was feeling nervous, she'd definitely use it to her advantage. Thus, I had no choice but put up a facade, a show. However, even with the mask I wore, my mind was still running around in circles as I watched her grin and play with her dress... Her last words lingered in my mind.
The next queen?
Of my kingdom? I suspected Stefan and Madrona would eventually target Weiss, but I always thought their main objective was to take over the underworld, not my home. They should've targeted everything else but my kingdom. No, they should have targeted nothing at all. When I'm done with this bitch, I will be parading all over the kingdoms with her head on a stick, and I will make sure that everyone will witness this, so that none of this stupid revolution ever happens again. To think that many different kinds even joined them... This rogue situation was getting worse every day, I think I'll have to propose a new anti-rogue law to Weiss soon.
"Say, what's your favourite colour? Mine is red." With a smile, she started talking nonsense as she began circling me.
I didn't answer her question, instead I lifted my hand and pointed it at her before casting, "Flóges tis kólasis, voíthisé me!" I smirked as endless burts of flame came out of my hand and went straight to burn Madrona's face.
However, the smirk on my face soon disappeared when my enemy was able to easily dodge all of my flames. Even as I kept pointing at her, she was able to sway swiftly to the sides, successfully avoiding my hits. Cursing, I lowered my hand and watched as she dusted her dress like what I did was nothing for her. Even most witches wouldn't be able to dodge my flames... This only meant Lucilia recognized her strength, no, she warned me about this. Perhaps I should have trained before getting so confident...
Ah, no matter! I'm here now and regretting will do nothing to aid me.
I had to focus on this alone, especially since I now knew she could tamper with mind-link. Whether I liked it or not, I will be fighting her by myself. I had to accept that calling Gaia, Mallory, or Weiss wasn't possible, not without mind-link. I could only rely on the mate bond, for it to send a feeling to Gaia and Mallory... Although it seemed unlikely to happen, it was the only way for me to reach them, and I was hoping for a miracle.
Madrona knew how to dodge my flames, and she did it so easily, and she was also able to create her own spells as proven by the mind-link spell, she really was quite similar to Weiss. On the other hand, I didn't have this ability yet, I wasn't trained this far, thus I realized that it would be difficult to beat her alone... Unless I thought of other ways to kill her. Perhaps she wasn't as skilled in close combat?
With this in mind, I snapped my fingers and a sword appeared on my hand. Once Madrona saw this, she raised a brow and asked, "Oh? Going old school, are we?"
Again, I didn't reply as I cast a spell and teleported behind her. I breathed heavily as I quickly lifted my sword and tried to stab her heart. However, I didn't have time to be surprised as I quickly jumped away from her when the sword broke upon touching Madrona's back.
