111. Dimey's First Steps

The throuple had slowly started to notice that over the course of the past week or so, Dimey had been standing up on his own more and more often, and would even move around while holding onto something from time to time. With Thread finally over at Flare's house for the first time in what felt like an eternity, the throuple decided that it was the perfect day to give Dimey their one on one attention.

Pin, Coiny, and Needle gathered onto the floor, all holding various toys he liked to play with. They arranged themselves in a semicircle around Dimey, who was holding onto the couch, shuffling along steadiy as he held onto it.
The thourple all had smiles on their faces, trying to get the toddler to look at them. "Come one, Dimey!" Pin cheered, while shaking a maraca he loved, "Come to mommy!"

Dimey turned his head around from a split second, and let out a little noise to let them know that he was listening.

"You can do it big guy!" Coiny patted his lap, "Show us how it's done, buddy!"

Dimey turned his head around once again, and even removed one of his arms from the couch. The throuple looked in awe, as Dimey held himself up.

"You're getting closer!" Needle cooed out, "We know you have it in you!"

Dimey then let go of the couch with his other hand, standing still without any support. The throuple thought that he was about to do it, as he started leaning in to them. The throuple gasped, but then, Dimey fell over, looking disappointed.

"It's okay little Dimey," Coiny encouraged, "Come on, try again!"

Dimey seemingly listened to the throuple, quickly getting back up again with the help of the couch, and turning his head over once again.

"You almost had it the first time!" Needle squealed, "You can't be in a stroller forever you know!"

Coiny and Pin suppressed their laughter, as Dimey slowly let go from the couch with both of his hands again. He was determined to walk his way over to his parents.

"You're almost there!" Pin cheered, "We're waiting for you!"

Just then, Dimey put his game face on. Without hesitation, he lifted his foot off the ground, and moved it forward a little. He did the same with the other leg, and took another step, moving his way right over to Needle, before falling in her arms.

"YAYYYYYY!!!" The throuple cheered. Needle took Dimey in her arms, and lifted him up into the air.

Dimey, wanting to replicate his parents, mimicked their celebrating, "yayyyyyyy!" He said.

The thoruple all lagged, both excited and relived that Dimey accomplished a big life milestone.

Coiny took Needle from Dimey, and kissed him on the forehead, "You did it buddy! We knew you could."

The throuple could hear footsteps from upstairs that quickly headed down. Gaty smiled at the throuple as she heard them celebrating, "What's all this about?"

Pin had a huge grin, "How about we let Dimey show you!"

Coiny placed Dimey back in the middle of their semicircl. They all watched as Dimey lifted himself up with the help of the couch, and all cooed to get him to show Gaty his skills.

"Come on Diemy," Needle patted her lap, "Shouw auntie Gaty your new skill!"

Understanding what he had to do, he stumbled over towards Needle, as the throuple erupted in cheers yet again.

"Yayyyyyy!" They shouted.

Dimey just giggled, just as excited as everyone else that he completed a huge milestone.

Gaty gasped, "That's amazing, congratulations Dimey! I'm going to get everyone else down here so you can show this off!"

Dimey smiled at his aunt, excited that his new skill entertained her.

Barf Bag, Donut, Saw, and Bladey, all made their way downstairs to watch Dimey in action. They all clapped and cheered to see him walking around on his own.

"Just in time, Dimey," Saw said, "We needed another one who could walk before the twins came."

Seemingly on cue, Barf Bag felt the twins give little kicks, "I think they say thank you!"

Donut leaned into Barf Bags baby bump, giving it a kiss, "3 kids needing strollers was going to be a bit much."

Pin laughed, "Looks like Dimey just saved the day!"

Needle nodded, "He's a little hero already."

The room was filled with joy and laughter as Dimey continued to practice his new skill, surrounded by his loving family. It was a day they would all remember, a day of first steps and big milestones, and the promise of many more happy memories to come.

Short chapter, but let's just say...you're gonna be grateful for the shorter chapter cuz you ain't ready for tomorrows chapter! Also, sorry for not posting yesterday, after my summer course I completely crashed and went to bed really early and didn't have time to upload this. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I'll see you in tomorrow's chapter!
