One by one, each member of the team woke up from a night's slumber in their respective hotel rooms. The adults helped out all of the kids get ready, and eventually, everyone met downstairs for breakfast.
The cozy dining area of the resort was filled with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries. The kids bounced around excitedly as the group gathered for breakfast, still buzzing from the sight of the grand lobby the night before.
Donut was the last to arrive, looking nice and refreshed. "Morning, everyone," he greeted as he slid into a chair next to Needle.
Thread and Dimey were already nibbling on pancakes, while Bladey, Sprinkle, and Sack were happily munching on toast at the nearby table.
"Morning!" Pin said brightly. "How'd you sleep last night?"
"Pretty well," Donut said, "These rooms are very nice!"
"I agree." Barf Bag added. "They definitely did some remodeling since we were last here."
The kids were quick to finish up breakfast, and were excited for the day ahead. "I wanna go skiing!" Dimey exclaimed.
"Me too!" Sprinkle added on.
Gaty chuckled, "Sounds like everyone's excited! Okay everyone, let's get the kiddos ready for a day on the mountain!"
"YAY!" They cheered in unison.
Once they got back into their room, Donut and Barf Bag scrambled to get all Sprinkle his clothes on, as the little guy would not sit still.
"Sprinkle!" Donut said, holding up his coat, "The sooner we get ready, the sooner you can start skiing!"
Sprinkle ran up to his dad, eagerly getting his coat on.
Meanwhile, Sack was not as thrilled at the idea of going skiing, and Barf Bag could see it etched all over his face.
"Come on Sack?" Barf Bag said softly, holding up his coat, "It will be fun!"
"No." Sack said, turning his head away form his mom. "I don't wanna go."
Barf Bag's eyes widened, "Are you sure? I went with Donut and your aunties and uncle, and we all had a blast! It was a little scary at first, but we had a great time!"
Sack shook his head, "I don't feel like it."
Barf Bag sighed. She really wanted the kids to have fun, but didn't want to force Sack into anything he didn't want to do. "Do you want to stay back with Thread?"
Sack nodded. "I just don't feel ready."
Barf Bag knelt down to Sack's level, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "That's okay, sweetie. You don't have to go if you don't feel ready. We want you to have fun too, in your own way."
Sack gave her a small smile, relieved. "Thanks, Mommy."
Donut, overhearing the conversation, chimed in, "How about we plan something fun for you and Thread? Maybe you guys can build a snowman or go sledding instead."
Sack's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Yeah, I'd like that!"
With the plan settled, Barf Bag helped Sack get dressed for the cold weather, but skipped the heavier ski gear. Meanwhile, Donut finished zipping up Sprinkle's coat, finally managing to get him ready for the slopes. "Okay, you little snowball, you're all set!" he said, as the boy beamed with excitement.
The four of them took the elevator down to the lobby and met up with the others.
"Hey, you guys made it!" Coiny said excitedly. "Now who's ready to do some skiing?"
