The week had finally arrived for winter vacation. It was a group effort, but the adults managed to get everything packed for all 5 of the kids, which was a bigger challenge than they had initially thought. After loading the bags plus the kids into the cars, it was finally time to hit the road.

"Alright kiddos, we're heading off!" Coiny said excitedly, sitting in the back with his kids. Needle hit the gas and soon enough, they were being followed by the other two families.

"How long is the drive going to be?" Dimey asked.

"I'd say it's close to 3 hours." Pin responded.

Dimey frowned in disappointment. "That's a long time."

"It won't feel like that long, I promise." Needle said.

Coiny tried to get the kids in a more positive mood. "How about we play some car games?"

"Like what?" Thread asked.

"How about 'I Spy'?" Coiny suggested, glancing back at Thread and Dimey. "You guys like that one, right?"

Thread nodded. "Okay, I'll start! I spy with my little eye... something white!"

Dimey immediately leaned forward, scanning the snow-covered landscape. "The snow?"

Thread laughed. "Yeah, that was an easy one!"

"How about I go next?" Pin said from the front seat. "I can go next! I spy with my little eye...blue!"

"The sky?" Thread responded.

Pin shook her head. "Try again sweetie."

Dimey squinted out the window, searching for something blue. "Hmm... is it that sign?"

Pin nodded. "Very good!"

The family continued playing eye spy, keeping the kids distracted so that the ride wouldn't feel nearly as long.

In the car behind, Barf Bag glanced in the rearview mirror at her two kids, Sprinkle and Sack, who were happily chatting away in their car seats. Donut, sitting in the passenger seat, fiddled with the map on her phone.

"Are we there yet?" Sprinkle asked, for about the fourth or fifth time that trip.

Barf Bag sighed, "It's still gonna be a few more hours."

"No." Sack responded sternly. "I wanna get there now."

"I know you're excited guys," Donut responded. "But you have to be patent. Were gonna get there when we get there!"

Sprinkle groaned dramatically, leaning back in his seat. "But it's taking forever!"

"Boys, listen to Daddy, we'll get there eventually." Barf Bag said, trying to stay calm. "Otherwise mommy is going to start going a little crazy, and we do not want that happening." She muttered to herself.

Sprinkle and Sack exchanged glances, sensing their mom's growing frustration, and fell silent for a few minutes. But the stillness didn't last long.

"Can we at least have a snack?" Sprinkle asked, batting his eyes dramatically as if that would make the drive go faster.

Donut chuckled, reaching into the front compartment and pulling out a small bag of pretzels. "Here you go, share with your brother, okay?"

"Thanks, Dad!" Sprinkle said, tearing open the bag and immediately handing a few to Sack.

The third car was relatively quiet, with Bladey being distracted on her tablet and Gaty driving a long with Saw next to her, even getting the chance to turn on the radio to a low volume.
