It was quite the busy afternoon for the members of Team8s. Barf Bag and Donut were at work, Saw and Gaty had a teachers meeting at the preschool, and Pin and Needle were busy at the bakery. That meant it was up to Coiny to be in charge of all three kids until the others came home.

Shouldn't be too hard, Coiny thought to himself.

Thread and Bladey had gotten home from preschool, and Dimey was in the middle of his afternoon nap. The house was quiet and peaceful for the time being. Coiny decided it would be fun to do some coloring with the kids, so he got out some coloring books and crayons and got the kids to work. He decided it would be best to have the kids color in Saw and Gaty's room, since it was the room closest to the nursery. Plus, Gaty had a vanity that was big enough for both kids to color on, since it's easier for Thread to not have to get out of her wheelchair.

Thread found a picture in one of the coloring books that was a flower. She payed attention to all of the details on the page, making sure to color in the lines nicely. Coiny peeked over her shoulder to see her work, and he was quite impressed by how well she colored for a two year old.

"Auntie Saw gave us some coloring in class the other day!" Thread exclaimed, "She taught us about staying inside the lines!"

Coiny laughed, "She must have taught you well, because that flower looks amazing!"

Meanwhile, Bladey was scriblining on random pages of the coloring books without really paying attention to the pictures on it.

When she finished up her drawing, she proudly showed her work to Coiny, who thought it was adorable.

"You did a fantastic job, Bladey!"

"Daddy? Can we color with markers."

Coiny was conflicted, "Well...your moms usually don't let you guys use markers."

"Awww," the girls said in unison.

"...but none of your moms are here right now so...they don't have to know!"

"YAY!" the girls cheered. Coiny went downstairs to grab the markers, and the girls were quite excited to have them.

"Markers color much better then crayons!" Thread exclaimed.

The girls had fun with the markers, and so did Coiny, as they all colored away.

All the sudden, Dimey start to wake up from his nap.

"You two stay here girls, I'm just getting Dimey from his nap."

Once Coiny got to the nursery, he scooped the crying 5 month old into his arms.

"Hello buddy, dada's here," he said, trying to get Dimey to calm down.

Once the baby calmed down, he held him as he went back into Saw and Gaty's room to check on the girls.

However, he wasn't prepared for what he was about to see. He saw that Bladey had taken a black marker, and scribbled all over Saw and Gaty's vanity.

"Oh no," Coiny said, putting his hand on his mouth, "what did you do!"

Bladey just smiled innocently at the work she created.

Coiny started to panic, "this is why your moms don't let you guys use markers!" he said under his breath.

Coiny took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Okay, Bladey, let's see if we can clean this up before your moms get home," he said, setting Dimey down in his playpen.

Thread watched with wide eyes, sensing the tension. "Is Auntie Saw going to be mad?" she asked softly.

"I hope not," Coiny replied, grabbing a cloth and some cleaning solution from the bathroom. "Let's see if we can make it disappear."

Bladey watched curiously as Coiny started scrubbing the vanity. To his dismay, the marker didn't budge. "Oh no," he muttered, scrubbing harder. "This isn't coming off."

Bladey started to frown, realizing she might be in trouble. "I'm sorry, Uncle Coiny."

Coiny gave her a reassuring smile, despite his worry. "It's okay, Bladey. We all make mistakes. We'll just have to tell your moms and hope they understand."

Just as he said that, the front door opened, and the voices of Saw and Gaty filled the house. Coiny's heart raced as he heard them approaching the room.

Thread whispered, "Are you gonna tell them now?"

Coiny nodded, standing up and taking a deep breath. "Yep. Here goes nothing."

Saw and Gaty walked into the room, their smiles fading as they saw the black scribbles on the vanity. "What happened here?" Saw asked, her voice a mix of confusion and concern.

Bladey clung to Coiny's leg, hiding her face. Coiny stepped forward, trying to keep his voice steady. "I let the girls use markers while you were gone. I thought it would be okay, but Bladey got a little carried away."

Gaty sighed, walking over to inspect the damage. "Markers? Coiny, you know how hard it is to get marker stains out of furniture."

"I know, I know," Coiny said, feeling guilty. "I thought I could handle it, but I messed up. I'm really sorry."

Saw knelt down and gently lifted Bladey into her arms. "Bladey, why did you draw on the vanity?" she asked softly.

Bladey's eyes filled with tears. "I thought it would look pretty. I'm sorry, Mommy."

Saw hugged her daughter tightly. "I know you didn't mean to cause trouble. We'll figure something out."

Gaty sighed but nodded in agreement. "Accidents happen. Let's just make sure we stick to crayons from now on, okay?"

Coiny felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Thank you for understanding. I promise I'll be more careful next time."

As they cleaned up and settled back into their routine, the atmosphere lightened. Coiny played with the kids, making sure to keep them away from any markers, and Saw and Gaty shared a knowing look, grateful for the patience and understanding they could offer each other as a family.

Later that evening, when Barf Bag and Donut returned home, they found the house filled with laughter and the lingering scent of dinner cooking. It was clear that despite the day's mishap, the team had managed to handle it with love and grace.

Barf Bag smiled as she watched Coiny playing with the kids. "Looks like you had quite an adventure today."

Coiny chuckled. "You could say that. But we got through it together, and that's what matters."

Donut nodded, pulling Barf Bag into a hug. "That's right. We're a team, and we can handle anything that comes our way."

As the family gathered around the dinner table, the laughter and warmth of their shared experiences filled the room, reminding them all of the strength and love that held them together.

Eh, this chapter was whatever, this definitely seems like something Coiny would do though. See you in the next chapter!
