Beep! Beep! Beep!

Donut and Barf Bags alarm sounded, as the two of them woke up. They got out of bed and were getting ready to start another day at the hospital.

Barf Bag was very much a morning person, always up and ready to go when her job called for her. However, it didn't take long for Donut to notice she wasn't as...energized on this day. She was a little more reserved, and had a blank expression on her face.

"Yeah," Barf Bag said, "I'm fine."

Donut wasn't sure if she was being a hundred percent honest, but accepted her response nonetheless, "Okay, if you say so Barfy."

Barf Bag made her way downstairs, where the rest of the team was having some breakfast, courtesy of Pin.

"Morning Barf Bag," Pin said, "What would you like for breakfast this morning? I have some toast that Thread didn't feel like eating if you want some.

Barf Bag sported a faint smile, "I'll have some then. And would you put some pickles on there please?"

Pin chuckled, "Looks like the cravings have started, haven't they?"

Barf Bag laughed along with her, "Yeah. Haven't told Donut yet, I don't need him getting alarmed."

Pin's expression shifted to a confused one, "Why would he get alarmed over cravings?"

Barf Bag sighed, "Because as you, Needle, and Saw know all too well, once the cravings start, it's only a matter of time before the morning sickness comes in."

Saw noded, her eyes nice and wide, "It's gonna be rough when it happens, let me tell you."

Barf Bag laughed, "We can only hope that it's not too bad!"

Donut made his way downstairs soon after, grabbing some hard boiled eggs from the fridge that he had made the day prior.

"Good morning, Donut," Pin said, "would you like anything else to eat?"

Donut shook his head, "No I'm good. Besides, Barfy and I need to get going soon, we have a long day as always."

Pin noded with a smile, "Okay, have a nice day you two!"

Donut and Barf Bag made their way out of the house soon after, taking their car into the lovely morning traffic.

"Wonderful," Donut sarcastically noted, "Who doesn't love some good ol morning traffic."

Barf Bag sighed, "I certainly don't, I feel like I'm getting carsick."

Once Barf Bag said that, Donut immediately turned to her, noticing that she was looking a little pale, "Are you sure you're okay, Barfy. I'm serious, you watched the other three go through their pregnancies, let me know if we need to pull over."

Barf Bag shook her head, "I'm fine, Donut, really. I've felt car sick before. I just have to look out the window, that's all."

Donut reluctantly accepted her answer, "Okay, but you know that this is around the time when the morning sickness comes. Don't hesitate to let me know if something happens."

Barf Bag nodded, "I will, Donut, obviously."

Once the two of them got to work, Barf Bag was a busy lady, going from patient to patient, making sure that all the right treatments were getting assigned to all the right people.

As the morning went on, Barf Bag felt her energy start to slip sooner than usual, and she found herself feeling more queasy with each passing hour. She did her best to push through it, knowing that her patients depended on her. However, the lingering nausea and the lack of her usual pep were making it increasingly difficult to concentrate.
