Jacqueline was woken up on the morning of Genevieve's third birthday to her daughter jumping up and down on her bed.

"Genevieve? What time is it?" She asked, still half asleep.

"Mama! It my birthday! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" She punctuated each 'wake up' by jumping on her mother's bed.

"Woah, slow down there little monkey," Jacqueline laughed as she tried to wipe the sleep from her eyes. "Where's your dad? How come you're not bouncing on him?"

"I down't know. But look! Uncle Pete got me a pwesent!"

"Did he now? Don't you want to open it with him?"

"No! I awready asked him and he said when you wake up, so wake up mummy!"

"Alright, alright, do you need any help opening it or can you do it yourself?"

"Myself!"

The gift was wrapped in a long rectangular box with a ribbon keeping the lid on. All Gen would have to do was take it off and lift the lid.

Jacqueline watched in amusement as her daughter carefully opened the box.

"Well, what did he get you?" Her mother asked.

She saw the confused look on her daughter's face and got up to look at the box.

"What is it mama? It's pwetty."

Jacqueline's eyes widened when she saw the glint of metal inside the box. "No, he didn't," she muttered to herself. "Gen darling, please be careful, don't touch that end!" She exclaimed as the young girl reached for the blade of the sword instead of the hilt. "I need to have a word with your uncle."

Jacqueline picked up the blade and stormed out of the room. She stopped the first servant she saw. "Where is Peter?" She demanded.

"Um.. th-the garden, your majesty," the faun nervously replied. His eyes widened at the sight of the sharp blade in her hands and the deadly look in her eyes.

"Thank you," she said quickly before storming off in the direction of the garden.

You could say that Jacqueline had a bit of a flair for the dramatics, especially when she was angry.

Servants and visiting nobles cowered against the walls as she stalked through the halls, brand new sword in hand.

When she reached the garden gate she didn't even take a beat before barging through the door with her daughter following behind her curiously.

"Peter William Pevensie I am going to kill you!" She screamed when she spotted him sitting with his siblings in the gazebo.

Her husband shot up immediately and rushed to intercept her. He could tell that she was just furious. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the weapon in his wife's hand. He couldn't think of anything to say so he just stared at her with his mouth agape.
