Life became harder for the young family after the arrival of the Magnus siblings. Lilith and Damien Magnus just seemed to spread chaos and wreak havoc wherever they went.
The siblings had heard of the happiness the two rulers of Narnia had been experiencing since their marriage. They felt they ought to do something about it. They hated seeing two of the people who'd destroyed their idol living happily ever after.
They wanted revenge on the niece who had betrayed her own flesh and blood, and the traitor that helped her. They vowed to enact revenge for Jadis, the White Witch.
They knew the Pevensies would never let them into their castle if they knew their true intentions, so they disguised themselves as a pair of visiting nobles. The kind kings and queens unknowingly let into their home the very people who were planning their downfall.
What better way to start messing with their lives than by breaking their trust in one another?

Edmund, Jacqueline, and Genevieve were out in the garden entertaining their guests while Lucy went to fetch her older siblings.
Genevieve was wary of the strange pair of siblings, she couldn't help but feel that they were not who they pretended to be. But on the outside, Lilith and Damien treated the girl with such kindness, which made her doubt her gut feeling about them.
Jacqueline had warmed up to the idea of the beautiful woman getting closer to her daughter. The visitors hadn't given her a reason to mistrust them.
The small group found a nice spot where they could rest and Genevieve could play while the adults chatted. Jacqueline, Damien and Genevieve sat on the ground. The two grown ups were helping the little girl make a flower crown, well Jacqueline was helping, and Damien was trying. Lilith had asked Edmund if he would show her around a bit more of the castle while the others played, and he agreed.
When the two were out of sight, Lilith slipped her arm through Edmund's. He was startled, but didn't give it much thought. He figured it must be a part of their culture that he just wasn't used to.
