Edmund and Jacqueline decided to take their daughter out for a picnic and a swim. Edmund wanted to finally introduce his daughter to his horse.

Philip had heard Edmund talk about his daughter all the time but he had yet to meet her.

The young parents had convinced their daughter to leave her crown at the castle so she could go swimming with her mother. Genevieve begrudgingly agreed.

They led the young princess into the stables one nice morning. The little girl gasped out loud when she saw the majestic brown horse that was all saddled up and ready for them.

"Horsie!" She exclaimed.

The horse rolled its eyes and chuckled. He remembered Edmund calling him that same thing when they'd first met. "My name is Philip," he grumbled playfully.

"The horsie can talk!"

"Yes, and I have a name."

"Lay off her, Philip, she's only five," Edmund scolded his horse.

"Would you like to ride with Daddy and Philip or with me and Anastasia? My horse can talk too, she's just a little less snarky than Philip, isn't that right?"

"Yes, that's for sure. I think he gets it from his rider," Anastasia replied, gazing at her partner lovingly. It was quite fitting that the couple's horses were a couple too.

"Oh absolutely, they feed off of each other's attitude," Jacqueline said with a laugh. "We'll have you both back early enough that you can still take care of your colts."

"I can stay out as long as you want me to," Philip told Edmund.

Anastasia huffed and swatted him with her tail.

"I wanna go with Daddy!" Genevieve said.

"Does that work with you, Philip?" Edmund asked.

"Of course, your majesty."

Edmund rolled his eyes. He knew that no matter what he said, Philip would use his formal title. He helped his daughter onto the horse as she giggled in excitement.

"Go on ahead, I still have to saddle up Anastasia. I'll catch up, we'll meet at our spot on the beach," Jacqueline told her husband and daughter. The two took off at a reasonable pace, since it was Genevieve's first time riding. She rode in front of her father and he made sure she wouldn't fall off.

"And how are you today, Miss Jacqueline?" Her horse asked her once the others were gone.

"Well, I'm as good as I can be," she replied with a smile.

"And how are your little foals?" Anastasia asked, gesturing toward her slightly larger stomach.

"W-what? What are you talking about? H-how do you know?" Jacqueline was taken aback by the horse's question.
