Jacqueline and Edmund weren't the biggest fans of snow or winter. It brought back too many memories of their time being trapped with the White Witch, Jacqueline's aunt.

Genevieve on the other hand loved it. She was about four years old and the second she saw snow on the ground she would start begging her parents to come play outside with her. Most times her parents would tell her to go find her aunts and uncle to play with her, but she was very persistent. She'd try to get Edmund's siblings to convince them to come outside.

This particular morning she was racing through the halls of Cair Paravel, dragging Peter and Lucy toward her parents' room.

She stopped right outside the door and started knocking. "Mama, daddy, do you want to build a snowman? Come on, let's go and play!"

"It's like we never see you in the winter anymore," Peter added. "Come out the door, it's like you've gone away."

Lucy tugged on his sleeve. "Peter, we don't know what they went through at the witch's camp, maybe we should just leave them be."

Before Peter could retort, the door opened to reveal his brother and his wife wearing their winter furs. Jacqueline shot a glare at Peter before smiling down at her daughter.

"Of course we'll come play with you, darling," she said, pulling Edmund along behind her, surprising Lucy and Peter who were expecting them to decline like they often did.

"You will?" Lucy and Genevieve asked at the same time, Gen with more excitement and Lucy more confusion.

"Yeah," Edmund replied. "One day in the snow won't kill us, besides, our daughter loves it so we figured we'd give it a chance."

"Yay!" Genevieve exclaimed as she ran away down the hall to meet Susan outside in the courtyard.

Peter glanced at his siblings and shrugged before running off after the young girl. "Last one there has to be on treaty writing duty!" He yelled out as he ran.

"Hey, that's my job anyway!" Edmund shouted after his brother. He sent his wife a look before chasing his brother through the halls.

"Boys," Jacqueline sighed as she and Lucy were left standing in her doorway.

"Well I don't want to write treaties, so..." Lucy also bolted after her brothers.

"Oh Aslan, it's like I'm raising more children than just my own, and they're my husband and his family." Jacqueline shook her head with a laugh before walking to meet up with the others since she was wearing heels.

Peter laughed when she finally reached the others. "Looks like you'll be cooped up in your husband's study for the next week."

"Don't worry love, I'll still do them, it's my work Peter wagered off after all."

Jacqueline laughed as she replied to Peter's comment. "Bold of you to assume I'm not already in his study every day. Why do you think it's taking him so long to finish writing them, huh?"
