Anyone who met the young princes knew that the twins had inherited their father's mischievous streak. At only five years old they were running rampant in the castle, leaving Caspian and their sister to clean up their mess.

Genevieve felt bad for her parents now that she was having to deal with the young five year olds. Was she that bad when she was young? Genevieve had begun to take after her mother more as she got older.

Some days she felt resentful towards her parents for leaving them, but she quickly remembered how hard it had been for them to go. She knew that if given the choice for both of them to stay, they would have taken it no question.

Caspian tried his best to fill in for the kids parents in any way he could. He sometimes felt bad that he was getting to see some of the twins and Genevieve's milestones before their parents. He was there for Sebastian's first steps, and subsequently for when Liam face planted while trying to copy his brother.

He was there to hear Liam's first word: uh-oh. He was there to comfort the boy shortly after when he cried about falling. He was there for Sebastian's first word too: mama. Yeah, he had a difficult time trying to get the boys to understand that he wasn't their mum. Genevieve found it hilarious.

The thing that terrified him was knowing that Genevieve's first period was approaching as she neared puberty. It hadn't happened yet, but he knew it was coming.

Today, however, his biggest concern was keeping the twins in check while a king from the neighboring kingdom was visiting. But first, he needed to find them.

Recently, the twins had taken to hiding from Caspian whenever he needed them. Caspian did not want to have to explain to the visiting royals how the young princes refused to listen to him and there was nothing he could do about it. That probably wouldn't leave the best impression on the royals, he knew how his uncle would try to spin it.

You're a king, if you can't get a pair of 5 year olds to listen to you, how do you expect to run a country?

Thankfully, his uncle was long gone and he never had to worry about him trying to sabotage Caspian for the crown ever again.

Caspian was saved from having to explain things to the royals when he heard what sounded like a young boy giggling behind a curtain that he just walked past. He thanked Aslan for the five year olds' inability to quiet their laughter when they got excited at that moment.

"What ever will I do if I can't find the twins? The king will be here in a few minutes, I hope I don't have to explain to him that the princes will be missing his welcome feast," he knew the best way to trick the boys into revealing themselves was to mention food. "Oh well, I guess there'll be more chocolate for us." He smirked, knowing his trick worked when he heard the sound of two sets of feet scrabbling to meet him in the hall.

"Wait! Don't start without us!" Liam cried as he almost crashed into Caspian because of his momentum.

"Don't eat all the chocolate!" Sebastian called as he followed his brother, crashing into him and leading to a domino effect that ended with all three of them on the floor laughing.
