With nothing better to do, Jack was spending her Saturday watching whatever game show Nan had on the telly with her sketchbook in her lap, finishing off the drawing of Ca$h.

"Haven't you got anything better to do than hang out with me?" Nan asked her and Jack rolled her eyes, having heard the question a thousand times, "Why don't you go out and do something fun?"

"With what mates?" She questioned incredulously. Jack had spent most of her life being a passive observer rather than socialising which meant she didn't really have any friends. Most people only knew of her. Sure she went to parties but that was mostly because her brother did and she'd tag along to satisfy her Nan who claimed she seemed to be bound to the house like a ghost with unfinished business.

"Go out and make some!"

"It's not that easy, Nan," she chuckled, "anyway, why would I want to go out when I can stay here. Do you not like my company?"

Nan tutted, "it's a mystery how you ended up on a bloody sex map." She muttered and an amused smile spread on the girls lips, "I'm an enigma. I reckon some guys like that." She said jokingly.

Nan hummed, "Just make sure they work for it. Don't be giving anything away for free," she advised her granddaughter, "If they're worth it, they'll earn it."

"I'll keep that in mind," Jack assured the woman before returning to her drawing until her phone buzzed on the coffee table making her reach over to grab it and saw it was a text from an unknown number.

"Who was that?" Nan asked—demanded—as soon as Jack put her phone back down on the coffee table. The girl shrugged, "New kid at school asking about a gatho tonight." She told the older woman.
