The party was in full swing and Jack had yet to hear from her brother despite him promising he'd be back in time for the party. Though the fact that he was missing  their classmates drunkenly trash their new house wasn't what was worrying her; what was keeping him was. She didn't know what the deal he made with Chook was and he neither confirmed nor denied that he would be with him that day but she could only assume that was why he was completely off the grid; he wouldn't have lied to Darren otherwise.

Speaking of, from where she was standing with her back leaning against the wall outside of her brother's bedroom, she could see Darren repeatedly checking their phone and calling Ca$h while watching the window beside them which looked out over the factory floor below. With a sigh she downed the rest of her drink before weaving through the party guests and making her way over to the drinks table in the kitchen to refill her cup.

As she was doing so, she felt a pair of hands on her hips, startling her slightly but she quickly relaxed upon realising it was Spider. She raised her cup to her lips taking a sip as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

"Are you okay?" He asked her softly as he lowered his face to speak by her ear so she could hear him, his breath tickling her skin, "I haven't seen you much,"

"I've been hiding in the corner realising that I now live with two extroverts who enjoy having a shit-tonne of people over to get drunk and be idiots, and I have no escape." She joked, tilting her head to look at him, noticing as a sly smirk made its way onto his features, "Well," he spoke, leaning closer to his face was hovering just a few centimetres away from hers, "we could always sneak off to somewhere quieter." She raised her brows slightly as he added, "and lock the door so your brother doesn't interrupt."

"I think Darren may just kill me if I sneak away this early but—" she paused to gently peck his lips, "—you can meet me in my room later and stay the night again?" She suggested and he made a face like he was pretending to think about it before leaning in to capture her lips with his, "Deal." He murmured against her lips before they were interrupted by a voice.

"Harassing the host at her own party," Sasha snarked as she reached past Jack to grab a bottle of tequila from the table, looking between the pair—but mostly at Spider—distastefully, "Ew."

"Piss off." said Jack, flipping the girl off as she shot Spider one last bitter glare before turning her back to them and making her way back over to Missy who was waiting for her across the room.

Jack untangled herself from Spider's hold and as she turned around to face him, noticed the frown on his face. She reached up and gently brushed her hand against his cheek before faintly hearing Harper call her name over the blaring music making her look over to find the girl beckoning her over.

"Go, on, I'll catch up in a bit," Spider told her, nudging her in the direction of Harper before he turned towards the table, beginning to get himself a drink. Nodding, she turned on her heel and made her way over to Harper who immediately grabbed her hand, spinning her around.
