After the party, everything had inevitably gone to shit at record speed. Darren had left and gone to their mum's house but wasn't answering any of Ca$h's texts or calls. Harper had hidden away in her room and wouldn't speak to any of them. And Jack hadn't been home since the day after the party and had instead been staying at Spider's house.

However, feeling it was about time she went home and stopped invading his space, she untangled herself from Spider's hold and got up from where she'd been laying with him on his bed and grabbed her shoes from the floor.

"Do you have to go?" He whined dramatically, as if he hadn't just had her completely to himself for three days.

"I haven't been home in three days, your mum if definitely sick of me and I miss my bed." She said as she laced up her shoes again before she turned around to face him, "I'll see you tomorrow at school."

"My mum isn't sick of you," he denied making her scoff and give him a look, "Okay, she might be," he admitted to which she nodded, "But I'm not."

She rolled her eyes and stood up before abruptly being pulled back down when he grabbed her hand. With his hand on her cheek he turned her face towards him and pressed his lips to hers once, twice, three times before she pulled her head back.

"It's late, stay," he pleaded in a whisper as he captured her lips once more. She kissed him back for a few moments before fully sitting up so he couldn't distract her anymore, "Spider, I have to go before my brother sends out a search party." She told him and he sighed in defeat.

"Fine," he huffed out dramatically making her chuckle, "But wait a minute I'll get my shoes on and I'll walk you."

"I'll wait downstairs," she told him before getting up and leaving the room. She made her way downstairs and sat down on the bottom of the stairs, pulling out her phone to text her brother.

"Oh, you're not leaving us are you?" She heard a voice to her right and glanced up to see Cait walk down the hallway towards her. The woman came to a stop and few paces away, looking down at Jack with a feigned look of sadness on her face.

"I know when I've overstayed my welcome," Jack responded, slipping her phone back into her back pocket before looking up directly at the woman, "You can cut the shit, I also know when someone doesn't like me."

"You kiss your mother with that mouth do you?" Cait snarked, clutching her chest as if the girl's swearing offended her making Jack roll her eyes.

"No, I do kiss your son though."

"Snarky little bitch," Cait snapped and Jack shrugged, "I bet your mother would be ashamed if she knew how you treat adults who have been nothing but kind to you."

"I wouldn't describe you as kind," Jack scoffed and looked down at her hands, "Look, I can see you've been hurt in the past by men, but it's not fair to take it out on Spencer. He's done nothing wrong."
