There can be times where being a police officer can be tough, Whirl just experienced it and Chase already knows how it feels. Chase has done many things that have been somewhat of a lack of approval by his teammates, the humans, and sometimes even himself.
Some of these times were when he went undercover to figure out Evan and Myles' newest and random plans they had going on a long time ago. There were a few other occasions in which he can recall the random stares he was given, but he surely was never going to forget a certain one where he practically questioned himself.
It was a while back, Heatwave was sent out on for a test thing for Optimus (the bot didn't really have much of a choice despite the fact this was during the time he was technically a criminal) and that went completely haywire. They were all able to save him but even so, Chase had so much difficulty when he literally had to place handcuffs on his teammate and best friend. Chase surely had many thoughts when this happened but it was protocol and he unfortunately had to follow it.
Heatwave wasn't even going to try and escape anyway, in fact, he was literally yelling at Chase to put the cuffs on so it could be done and over with and everyone else could've sworn the bot would've tried to put them on himself.
Don't worry, Chase did put them on him, eventually.
