One-sided conversations can really be confusing, especially since most of the time, there is absolutely no context.

It was just a calming day, well, that is what it seemed to be. All of them were busy with their own plans for future days at the academy, lessons of the sorts that they were trying to think about and consider, all while the recruits were off doing their own things for the time being.
"You know for someone who likes reading, I never thought I would hate paperwork as much as I do." Boulder says, finding himself drowning in it, a pool of words and digital pages.
"I feel like Chase would disagree but He's been staring at that thing for the past five minutes." Blades says, looking up to check on the others, looking so dead with the work he has for himself right now.
"I don't think he's listening." Heatwave says, sighing at the great deal of other things he has to do on top of what he already had planned to work on today. Then a vibration is heard and he is quick to find the source. "Hello?"
"Chase." Blades tries to grasp the police bot's attention, succeeding as the bot finally looks up.
"Does this have to do with the memo last week?" Chase questions, somewhat entering the conversation. "It was on something with the emergency exits of buildings."
"There was a memo last week?" Boulder says, Blades giving the same look of confusion as he too was not aware of a memo.
"I'm sorry, who is Edward?" Heatwave says a little too loudly. "High Tide, please don't be making some weird Twilight jokes right about now."
The silence that follows is questionable, Boulder, Blades and Chase looking at each other as they are just a little too confused. They all tried to get back to what they were doing, but the words were such a bother since they had no clue what the point of them were.
"So you've been working with humans before I met you?" Now the three were intrigued by the conversation. "What's next, shipping weapons on our little adventure?"
"What do you guys think happened?" Blades asks, hoping to start making some bets of sorts. "2 cubes that it's because Heatwave did something."
"bet." Boulder says, loving to get in on this as whatever goes on between the two of them is a thriller in its own.
"So how bad is it that the fire broke out at the military base?" Heatwave decides to go out in the hall, saying this right before he leaves and leaving the others stunned.
The silence was like a cricket, the only thing that could be heard in the moment.
"ok, now I'm confused." Blades says. "But yet again, when am I not?"
"when you watch TV, but what in the world are those two talking about now?" Boulder says, finding that any context before was shoved out the window along with any idea on what they are discussing.
"I hope it is not about the law." Chase says, hoping that the two are not talking about some other crime they may or may not be involved with.
"With it being those two, I would guess it is." Blades says, recalling literally anything and everything those two have been involved with. "There is so much chemistry there that I still haven't figured out."
"I don't want to know." Boulder says, knowing the bot wouldn't be able to describe any of it for the life of him. "It's just the luck of life, that's all I would guess since science can't seem to do so."
They all decided to go back to what they were doing before, minding their own business until the bot finally returned. luckily Heatwave wasn't on call once he returned, which meant it would take much less time to figure out what it was that was being discussed.
"I know you all are dying to know because when are you not?" Heatwave says, knowing this all too well. "Besides the fact High Tide has not been completely honest with me, he also is very well aware I went to find Hot Shot at a military base and there was a fire. that's all you need to know."
Heatwave decided to leave, not wanting to take any questions and certainly having to process all that occured in that single call all the while shortly after he left, Boulder handed over 2 energon cubes.
