Wedge can't tell if he has regrets, but Heatwave talks to him about it. Oh my goodness, we only have 17 more to go and the bonus ending, hope you enjoy this part!

Wedge certainly feels like there is this gap that separates him from other rescue bots, after all, his past being a Decepticon. He always found himself needing to push himself twice as hard just to be on everyone else's level, and even with that he was still isolated because of who he used to be.
He made himself cold, if others didn't want him, he was made sure to keep everyone else away. He was definitely a loner, and with what just occurred, even after being accepted by his teammates, he still feels that way.
"Still wondering if you made the right choice?" Wedge had been training, or to accurately describe it, just standing there doing absolutely nothing instead of the personal training he told everyone he went to go do.
"Did I?" Wedge asks, looking to see who was at the doorway this time. Whirl and Hot Shot came around at some point, but he managed to brush them off, but this time, it was Heatwave.
"I had that same look after revealing to the town that we were aliens." Heatwave says. "Those days after felt like long years off my life."
"Yeah, it definitely feels like that." Wedge admits, taking a seat on the bench in the room. "But I still don't think I made the right choice."
Heatwave comes into the room, taking a seat beside him on the bench.
"They accepted you, did they not?" Heatwave asks.
"Yeah, but I can't shake it, you know? They were so. . . mean at first and you know, it just kind of hit hard." Wedge says, trying to figure out how he feels. "I know they eventually came to accept it, and who I am but..."
"But part of you still feels like you don't belong in some way." Heatwave says. "I know how that feels."
"Wasn't your life good though? You helped bots, got away from that war and helped humans." Wedge says.
"That was the good stuff but before all of that, I was stuck living in a room for most of my life." Heatwave explains. "My creators left me to die, but there was one who made it her mission to help me. I had no one else but her, she cared for me."
"like an adoptive mother?" Wedge asks.
"not on paper, but she cared for me way beyond any other doctor or other bot would. she even made sure of it long after she passed too that she still cared for me." Heatwave says. "She gave me things that I am ever so grateful for."
"oh."
"Yeah but sometimes, things will feel worse before any of it will feel better." Heatwave says. "You have shown where you stand and that already made me accept you, it is a matter of how you will let it affect you that will change how others perceive it."
"But did I make the right choice?" Wedge asks, clearly still contemplating.
"you trusted them enough to see differently when you told them, having that amount of faith that they would have a change in heart shows me you made the right choice." Heatwave says. "You have to now just have to accept it with yourself and from that, move forward on the right foot."
"But that will take time?"
"Yes it will, it can take forever or even just a couple of seconds." Heatwave says. "But you'll know in time, when the feeling just washes away."
Heatwave gets up to leave, knowing his words have certainly left something on the recruit.
"Wait."
Heatwave turned, wondering as to what Wedge still needed from him, whether it be a question or something else that wanted to be said.
"Thank you."
"Of course." Heatwave says. "Just know if you ever need to talk, I am mostly in my office."
Heatwave then left, hoping Wedge would move forward and realize that truly, he made a choice that felt right to him.
